The Tribe Must Survive News

Tribe Leaders,

It's been great to see the reactions from all of you who have checked out our game so far. We do our best to read everything posted to both Steam and Discord, and are ready to give you the first patch addressing some of the bugs and feedback we have seen so far.

We'll keep working on improving the game leading up to the full release, so please keep sharing your thoughts and let us know what you'd like to see us address next!


[h3]General[/h3]

• Fixed a bug where tribe members were not dying to "Shadow death"
  
• Fixed a bug where trade routes could break depending on passengers
  
• Technical performance improvements for large amounts of tribe members
  
• Attempted fix for incorrect localization characters being displayed in random places
  

[h3]Cataclysm Improvements[/h3]
We've addressed multiple edge-cases and bugs that could occur during the Cataclysm.

• The Nighthorn will stay on
  
• Added events to help balance the amount of "weird" tribe members
  
• Reduced Spirit Need Act Perk Values for Act 4/5
  
• Improved handling of finished monument districts
  
• Adjusted "Monument"-tasks behaviour scores that determine what the tribe members do
  

Hey Tribe Leaders and budding survivors,

It's been a great few days since our Early Access release, and we're really happy to see that several people have already started to lead their tribe to survive through all of the trials from day 1 to 100!

We want to recognize and honor the first group of early pioneers who have successfully braved the long nights and overcame the disasters arrayed against them by including them in a tribute. Have you survived for all 100 days? Well, here's your chance to have that bragging right. Whether you've achieved this milestone, or maybe you're now motivated to try it, this is your time!

To be part of this initiative and have your handle/display name added to the tribute wallpaper we'll create, we would like you to share the high score screen of your 100-day survival, or show us your Steam achievements for "The Tribe Survived". You can submit this to us through one of the following ways:

• Join our Discord and post your screenshot into the #player-highscores channel
  
• Post a response here that you have completed this achievement and let us see your Steam Achievements
  
• Send your screenshots via email to [email protected] with the subject "The Tribe Survived" and let us know your Steam handle along with it
  

The deadline to submit this to us is Thursday 29th February before 15:00 CET / 06:00 Pacific (a week from the Early Access release date) so that we can review your entry and add you to this tribute.

[h2]Update v0.40.6[/h2]
MacOS

• Applied hotfix to address crashing that was only reproduced on MacOS
  

Note: We have decided to release v0.40.6 on MacOS early to try and address a crash that occurs. In future we will endeavour to maintain version number parity between Windows and Mac versions.
