The Backend Update (v0.3.0.0)

Hello, hope you're doing well. First of all, I want to thank you for your continued feedback and support, it really means a lot to me and I'm very glad you're having fun with Odd Remedy! 🧡

This major update is more of a technical one as I'm changing the engine's scripting backend to Mono to make modding easier. I was making some preparations for this version since v0.2.5.2. As the previous save file format was impossible to load in Mono because of a now obsolete encoding/decoding system class that was previously used. I've now reworked the saving/loading system to use a custom binary format that works on anything. I wanted to make the transition to the new save file format as seamless as possible for everyone, so I delayed this update with the scripting backend change in hopes that most people will have opened the game once already and converted their saves. I've also added support for saving the game saves and stats to the Steam Cloud.

Starting with this v0.3 version, old save files (.ors) won't load. I've added a small guide in-game when pressing on an obsolete version to let you know how to convert the old save file if you wish to do so. You just need to opt-in to the "convert save files" in Steam's Betas tab in the game's properties window and simply run the game once (you can open the Console (press `) to confirm that the save files converted). Then just switch back to the latest version. Please let me know if you have any issues converting old save files.
