v0.2.0.0

I wanted to release a bit of a larger update adding gamepad (and Steam Deck) support, UI improvements for navigation, fixing some important game issues/instability and improving visual quality, so here it is! The gamepad/Deck support could still some features to help using inventory UI quickly, but it is playable now at the very least. This update marks the v0.2 start of my roadmap, still having a bunch of things planned until v1.0!

[GENERAL]
  • Added gamepad support
  • Refactored input and key binding
  • Improved UI navigation
  • Improved synced objects interpolation and made pushing/pulling them more responsive
  • Improved non-host opening drawers being slow and inconsistent
  • Improved ragdoll init sync to teleport less
  • Added new strafing animation
  • Changed leaning to be toggled with one key
  • Added a toggle crouch option
  • Changed some default inputs
  • Made the game loading start in fullscreen by default
  • Updated packet send mode
  • Added brightness setup prompt on first game start


[GAMEPLAY]
  • Added some ambient light to environment so darkness isn't pitch black
  • Tweaked lighting and increased brightness a bit
  • Tweaked colors of map icons to make them more visible
  • Made entered building name stay longer
  • Made Spider Glass fragile and release a spider when broken


[FIXES]
  • Fixed spiders not jumping over obstacles and through windows
  • Fixed spiders ignoring sound when going for items
  • Fixed spider rotation sync inaccuracy
  • Fixed and optimized electricity tower model
  • Fixed host getting hit by item increasing health instead of decreasing
  • Fixed car service doors becomes see-through from far away
  • Fixed prison purchase sound being occluded
  • Fixed gallery open directory button overlap
  • Fixed phone gallery button not working
  • Fixed christmas tree bottom face missing
  • Fixed breaking a gas station window making no sound

  • Renamed trunk item pickup button and moved it up trying to make it more noticable to new players
  • Fixed prison chat opening while in phone chat
  • Improved chat input toggling, made escape key cancel typing
  • Increased worker diary notes spawn rate
  • Small rendering fixes/tweaks

  • Added prison yard (unlocked by buying a Yard Key in the prison shop)
  • Added a winter environment (snowy environment, snow weather effects, christmas items and slippery car tires)
  • Added needing to unlock phone before using it (to help new players learn cursor navigation)

  • Fixed document photo objective not counting from further away

  • Fixed trees rotated too much on steep hills
  • Fixed items duplicating from active game
  • Fixed Console not scrolling down
  • Fixed pressing Enter while in Console opening prison chat input
  • Fixed prison storage box interaction bounds (unable to use it when it's upside down)
  • Improved crosshair visibility
