New Key Visual + Wholesome Games Celebration!

Hello everyone, we've got a small little update for you - Twofold has a new key visual!

Twofold is also taking part in the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration, a festival for comfy and wholesome games here on Steam. It's currently on sale for the event.



Our other games Please Be Happy and our upcoming title Summer at the Edge of the Universe are also taking part! They both have demos out that you can play.

1.1.1 - A Little Oopsie

1.1.1 is live! Nothing fancy this time. After fixing some performance issues, we overlooked a couple scenes when adjusting their scripting.

  • Scenes using the layered diner image (Characters sitting behind the table) have been fixed in areas the assets did not line up properly.

Patch 1.1 is now Live!

Happy patch day! Again. Haha.

Okay, I know I said last time it would be the patch to go in the physical games. But we fixed up a few more things: namely, the achievement sync (again) and more typo corrections. It's a short list, but the bump in patch number is sort of a way for us to try and separate the builds from pre-physical and post-physical eras.

By the way! If you like the game, please consider leaving us a review. We really love reading everyone's thoughts, and it does help us out quite a bit!

  • Another achievement sync update. This should help users sync progress with Steam copies of the game.
  • Typos, typos, typos. Also corrected a couple sentences that either had erroneous repetition or odd phrasing.
  • The bonus content credits video now contains subtitles.

Hotfix 1.0.31 and 1.0.32

Hello! We pushed out an update that should fix erroneously granted achievements. Sorry for the trouble!

There's a new file in the game folder that should handle syncing everything up. In case something comes up and you may need additional help, replacing it with a custom fix will be a small matter. As always, feel free to join our Discord or send us an email through [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Fixed an error with the 1.0.31 build to restore the end-game credits.

Patch 1.0.3 is now Live!

It's November already! Next week (and some change) will mark the one month anniversary of Twofold's release. Thank you so much everyone for reading, sharing, and talking about these characters and their stories. We're hopeful this will be the last major polish and touch-up pass of the game so we can get the game built into discs and sent off to everyone who pre-ordered the physical edition!

I'll use this space to also say if you create any fanart or media, we'd love if you would either tag us in social media or put it here in the Steam community page! Anyway, onto the notes.

  • Mrow.
  • An attempt has been made to fix Steam achievements not syncing if you purchased the game elsewhere. If it still doesn't work, we can always send you a fix manually. Fair's fair and we'd want you to collect those shiny cheevos!
  • ATL adjustments and fixes, like characters being half-ghost if you click too fast.
  • Fixed an error in the History screen where you couldn't scroll up.
  • Auto-continue indicator! The CTC now changes to properly show that you have auto mode on, and the Auto button in the quick menu is lit up.


  • Asset optimization! A couple darker backgrounds have been uncompressed to reduce image artifacting. A diner background variation has also been heavily cropped and optimized to prevent extremely large images from rendering out.
  • Lots of tiny fixes to dialogue to match the voice lines. We also standardized punctuation inside of quotes for real this time.
