Patch notes 0.7.84p

Howdy, y’all! 🤠

We’ve been working on fixing some more bugs you have been reporting and at the same time implementing some new features to provide a better experience.
For this update, we’ll separate them into fixes and new features in order to give a better overview of what has happened so far.

Patch notes for 0.7.84p:

Features:
  • Added audio to the "call your last mount" action (pressing H) - is it a bird? Is it a cowboy calling their horse?! Who knows!
  • Falling into gorges will now kill inhabitants of the world - including Rosie, so tread carefully!
    NOTE: The exploding hole at one of the Grit Corp. camps in the West is still not working correctly, so you'll still get stuck there. In case you really feel like jumping in spite of the warning, remember you can Quit the game to the main menu and enter back in order to respawn with all your stuff at your last bed. We are working on fixing this with the next update.
  • You can now use Steam’s join/request to join feature to join a friend’s game
  • You can now invite players by pressing the ‘+’ button next to the game code in the in-game menu when hosting a game.
  • When Lars is tied up, he is now immune to slaps, gunshots, arrows, axes, and whatever else you are trying to kill him with! You were supposed to save him, not make his life miserable!


Fixes:
  • Volume was adjusted for donkeys, coyotes, etc.
  • When dying in specific places, sometimes your corpse would spawn in unreachable places
  • In single player when learning a new recipe, bookcases would still insist on telling you that they had new recipes to share. Now they should only tell you in multiplayer when someone else learned a recipe you hadn’t learned yet.
  • The game should no longer deny you access to the game you’re entering the correct game code for, for no apparent reason.

Hotfix 0.7.63p

Howdy, howdy!

Here is the list with all the fixes coming in 0.7.63p:

  • New: Certain collectible items will now disappear over time if not picked up, as long as the stack only contains 1 item. This was done to help performance, as games that had been going on for a while would suffer. The list of items are:
    - Stones
    - Bird feathers
    - Hare feet
    - Raw meat
    - Cactus fibers
    - Branches
  • Other minor performance improvements
  • Settings weren’t being applied until the settings menu was opened
  • Killing Dawson didn’t complete the task in the Tumbleville ledger but now it should work as intended!
  • Fixed the blacksmith demolition being completed by building the workshop
  • Made sure the hitching post task gives you the correct reward.
  • Fix Lars saying "See you back at Tumbleville!" even after he arrived
  • Where did I park my horse?! Wonder no more: We added a marker on the world map to help you locate it!
  • Fixed various dialogue bugs - the grave will no longer be part of your monologue!
  • Fix issue where some items would fall out of the world while joining a multiplayer game

Hotfix 0.7.59p

Here is the full list of what has been fixed in version 0.7.59p:

* Fixed some situations where, somehow, no UI was visible.
* Fixed an issue where you could sometimes spend resources on building something without it actually being built.
* Fixed an issue where sometimes scrolling to zoom on the map would open the construction menu.
* Fixed an issue, which required you to open the settings menu before your previously applied settings would be applied.
* Fixed an issue where cold/freezing would get applied to you upon leaving the lawyer’s office.
* Reduced the size of map marker texts.
* Reduced the volume of quest-related sound effects.

Hotfix 0.7.55p

Howdy, howdy! 🤠

We got more hotfixes coming in with version 0.7.55p which is up right now:
  • Changed recipe model to blue book model to make it easier to see on the ground
  • The Copper Revolver has now found it’s home in the correct worktable.
  • Fixed an issue where Lars and Eugene would exist in multiple locations after saving them
  • Fixed an issue where you could duplicate inventory items when moving them around while holding shift
    We've also added more functionality for inventory management:
    - Now when you Hold Shift and click on a stack you will pick up half of it
    - Hold shift and click on an empty slot and you can drop one item at a time in it or other slots.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not build or activate objects that require resources, if these resources were spread across multiple stacks in your inventory
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn’t always share recipes through bookshelves
  • Fixed an issue where the quest: "A Stew is Brewing" could not be completed.
  • Fixed an issue where you could sometimes drop your items through the ground

Hotfix 0.7.51p

Howdy!

We have a short hotfix where we fixed a couple more issues related to multiplayer.
Here's the list of fixes for 0.7.51p:

  • Fixed an issue where clients get stuck in the loading screen when trying to join a game that has been running for a long period of time.. All the feedback and helping us out with supplying save files really helped peel the onion that was this problem!
  • We reduced network traffic in general in order to alleviate potential future problems in multiplayer games
  • Dawson is a sneaky fella - his camp did not show up in the correct place when looking at the map but now it should be in the right spot!
