Difficulty Balancing and Minor Bug Fixes - v1.0.125

Hey Oracles,

Due to complains about higher anomalies being too harsh/unfair on Chapter 1 (Tainted Reef) here is a new balancing patch with some nerfs to Anomaly 8 Chapter 1 enemies and a nerf to Anomaly 10.

Please feel free to share your feedback about those changes.
Hope this will make the gameplay experience better.
But if it doesn't we are open to make changes and keep improving the higher anomalies balancing.

Anomaly Levels
  • Anomaly Level 10 nerfed now it applies Ruin every 2 turns and the amount of Ruin applied is based on the Chapter. Tainted Reef 1/ Astropolis Ruins 2/ Ground Zero 2.
Enemies
  • Deformed Sluggian and Crystal Tainted Reef Normal Battle rebalanced. Nerfed Anomaly 3, decreased Crystallized Swirl Over Corruption action Player Corrupt from 4 to 2. Rebalanced Anomaly 8, decreased Crystallized Swirl Over Corruption action Player Corrupt from 4 to 2 and changed die face Self Corrupt 6 to Selft Corrupt 6 + Player Shadow Mantle 2. Deformed Sluggian increased 1 die face Player Corrupt 3 to 4.
  • Crashed Sentinel Tainted Reef Normal Battle Anomaly 8 rebalanced, removed starting Decay. Changed Area Corrupt die faces to Player Corrupt 2 + Self Corrupt 4 to 6.
  • Prismatic Nettle Tainted Reef Normal Battle Anomaly 3 and 8 rebalanced, decreased Over Corruption action Player Corrupt from 4 to 3. Anomaly 8 Increased 1 die face Player Corrupt 3 + Enemy Self Corrupt 2 to Player Corrupt 3 + Enemy Self Corrupt 3
  • Lost Sentinel Tainted Reef Normal Battle Anomaly 8 nerfed, decreased Over Corruption action Player Corrupt from 4 to 2. Decreased die face Player Corrupt 3 to Player Corrupt 2. Increased die face Player Corrupt 1 to Player Corrupt 2.
  • Devonian Celacanto Tainted Reef Normal Battle Anomaly 8 nerfed, increased Over Corruption from 4 to 6.
  • Blind Dunkleosteus and Jaw Dunkleosteus Tainted Reef Normal Battle Anomaly 8 nerfed, Blind Dunkleosteus decreased die face Player Corrupt 3 - Player Doom 2 to Player Corrupt 2 - Doom 2 and increased Over Corruption from 4 to 5. Jaw Dunkleosteus increased Over Corruption from 5 to 7.
  • Cursed Shell and Prismatic Stinger Tainted Reef Normal Battle Anomaly 3 and 8 nerfed, increased Cursed Shell Over Corruption from 5 to 7.
  • Tormeted Seer Ground Zero Normal Battle Anomaly 0 nerfed, increased Over Corruption from 7 to 9.


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed new save file backup system.
  • Fixed Sentinel selection menu gets out of sync and fails to show dice.
  • Fixed Softlock when player use Manipulate virtue and didn't has a available dice on hand using joystick.

Bug Fixes, Improvements and Minor Balancing - v1.0.113

Hey Oracles,

Another batch of bug fixes and improvements.

We will keep working on bug fixing and improvements/QoL šŸ’Ŗ
After that we will start work harder on balancing (using players feedback), but continuing bug fixing and adding more QoL.

  • Added new save file backup system.
  • Changed dice tooltip header to show the dice name instead of the dice type.
  • Improved Precision action description.
  • Improved Multiverse Cube description to make it more clear that it can be activated multiple times and not only once.
  • Multiverse Cube shuffle button moved to the left.
  • Added Oracle name to Oracle specific achievements descriptions.
  • Changed quitting run text to make sure player knows when their run has been saved.
  • Changed Corrupt enemy blessing description from "Whenever you or a sentinel deal at least X Corruption to an enemy," to "Whenever you or a sentinel deal at least X Corruption to an enemy in a single action," to make it more clear that is the Corruption dealt need to be in a single action.
  • Now Anomaly and Astrea levels that have been won will have a visual feedback on character selection screen with a blue/purified Anomaly/Astrea level symbol.
  • Changed "Click to Start" main menu text position to the top of the screen to avoid player clicking on Quit button.


[h3]Balancing[/h3]
Anomaly Levels
  • Anomaly Level 4 now increases the amount of Shadow Mantle applied based on the Chapter. Tainted Reef 2/ Astropolis Ruins 3/ Ground Zero 5.
  • Anomaly Level 10 reworked to "At the start of each battle, apply 3 Ruin to all enemies.".
Orion
  • Reworked Aeon Tentacle to when it Casts Karmic Orb and Cosmic Orb the Purification dealt is not considered dealt by the player.
Enemies
  • Ostreons Tainted Reef Hard Battle Anomaly 8 nerfed, increased enemies Overcorruption by 1. Increased Shadow Mantle die faces by 1.
  • Corrupted Hevelius Astrea 3 nerfed, removed Corrupted Hevelius starting Boost.


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed Corrupted Austra dodging its own Purification.
  • Fixed Softlock on Pause Menu when closing the menu very quickly using ESC.
  • Fixed Royal Scarab and Bright Resonator activating without SFX.
  • Fixed Forge Die Statistics when forging on Forge Shop.
  • Fixed Virtue Tutorial when using joystick.
  • Fixed time statistics with wrong amount when passing 24 hours.
  • Fixed Orion first win counting as Astrea Level 1 win on Run History.
  • Fixed Orion vs Corrupted Orion Battle
  • Fixed Orion and Corrupted Orion orbs description without "Cast:" in it.
  • Fixed Corrupted Orion Punishment Orb description missing "Apply 1 Corrupted Karma to self.".
  • Fixed Karma and Astrium description saying that it would lose all Karma/Astrium when it actually loses a fixed amount.
  • Fixed Recycle when used on a sentinel with boost not storing the boosted die (the second one).
  • Fixed Corrupted Enhance description not telling that it only affects Corrupt actions with value 1.
  • Fixed Skeptical achievement taking starter blessings into consideration when it shouldn't.
  • Fixed Disruptive Knuckles blessing triggering after enemy is defeated.
  • Fixed visual bug when selecting a character and trying to quickly return before the animations end.

Spanish
  • Fixed EUREKA!!! and Bright Enhancement description using "for the rest of the turn" instead of "for the rest of run".

Addressing the Localization Issues

Hey Oracles,

I wanted to take the time to thank you for working with us through the localization issues in Traditional Chinese and Korean that are present in Astrea and apologize that those localizations weren't as good as they should have been. While we're thankful for the successful launch, this issue has been one we're determined to address.

We're taking stock of all issues from you guys who have given us helpful tips and fixes to improve the localization across many of the languages Astrea is in. I want to make Astrea fun for anyone no matter which language players speak.

Bug Fixes and Minor Improvements - v1.0.59

Hey Oracles,

Thanks for the patience for this patch with many bug fixes.
Not all bugs reported are fixed in this patch, but we fixed as many as we could on a short period of time and we focused on the worst ones (of course 🤣).

Also we made the changes requested to the Anomaly Level and Astrea Level unlocking system.

So we preferred sending this patch now even though not all bugs are fixed.

We will keep working on bug fixing and improvements šŸ’Ŗ

  • Now Anomaly Level and Astrea Level are shared between all oracles. But to have access to Anomaly Level with a specific Oracle, player need to win at least one run with the oracle.
  • Changed Corrupt enemy blessing description from "Whenever you or a sentinel deal Corruption to an enemy with at least X Corruption," to "Whenever you or a sentinel deal at least X Corruption to an enemy," to make it more clear that is the Corruption dealt and not the
    enemy's current Corruption.
  • Removed "New Run!" button from run victory screen.

Neutral
  • Altar Of Fractals event no longer appears on Chapter 1.
Hevelius
  • Static Alternator buffed, increase Charged Body gain from 1 to 3 Charged Body for each 2 Safe Die on player dice pool.
  • Reworked Stained Recharging die due to an edge case with an infinite loop where neither you win neither you lose. Decreased from 6 to 3 faces with Corrupt + Sentinels Uprising.


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed Astrea Avatar not merging and entering Second Phase battle.
  • Fixed rewards being skipped sometimes and making dice float on the screen until going to main menu and coming back.
  • Fixed Softlock when skipping credits on final cutscene using joystick.
  • Fixed Softlock Astral Rebound + Void Seek.
  • Fixed Softlock Hide/UnHide when using Void Seek or Astral Calling.
  • Fixed Softlock using the Prediction Convergence action when the draw pool and discard pool are empty.
  • Fixed first time winning with ?????? not counting as a Astrea's Hear Reached Victory.
  • Fixed overall Fastest Victory always showing 0.
  • Fixed Dice stuck on title screen after viewing run history and press escape key.
  • Fixed Charged Body description with wrong targeting, in practice a random enemy would receive Purification, but on description it was written "Random Target".
  • Fixed localization in the Data Collection Consent Panel.
  • Fixed first chest reward presenting always the same dice.
  • Fixed Softlock/dice stuck Sands of Time + Repair/Recycle/Rearm interaction.
  • Fixed Noctuan Comprehension + Astrea Avatar interaction.
  • Fixed playing Wind Skitter with 75 Favorable Winds, but having no Chaotic++ die to draw.
  • Fixed Softlock Cursed Prediction action + Sand of Time effect using Moonie character
  • Fixed Softlock when a die was affect by Timeless and a sentinel with Auto-Turret would defeat the last enemy/boss ending the battle and the die would stay on player's hand.
  • Fixed Softlock Calm + Relief + Slate of Plenty interaction, where the dice would stay on player's hand.
  • Fixed the Continue button in the Meissa event when the player purifies Meissa but loses at the same time.
  • Fixed Anomaly Level and Astrea Level maximum unlock amount one value higher than it should (It should be "Unlocked 1/10" and not "Unlocked 1/11" for instance).


[h3]Localization Fixes[/h3]
    Japanese
  • Fixed Minimum Astrium missing value.
  • Fixed Anchor Judgement missing value.

    Simplified Chinese
  • Fixed Enhance and Reinforced having the same name.
  • Improved Calm description.

    Russian
  • Fixed Unforgeable name and description.

    French
  • Fixed Dodge and Smoke Bomb description saying that it increases dodge instead of decreases it.
