Game Stability
[p]The biggest focus for this update has been on game stability across the board. We had every intention to make this update even bigger, but we've put most of our efforts into solving crashes and disconnects for both PC and Xbox players.[/p][p]
If you previously experienced frequent crashes or disconnects from multiplayer that prevented you from enjoying the game, please try the game again with this new update and let us know if your specific issues have been resolved or not. Confirmation from you would really help us out.[/p][p]With a dedicated push for stability this update, we hope that we can put all our firepower on new content for Update 3. We've got more story and a new ship in the works.[/p][p]As is often the case with Early Access, issues will still pop up and some rare lingering crash might still be around, but we will continue working on fixes for PC and Xbox like we have been since launch.[/p][p]We won't stop until we've made it up to you affected players for the rough start to Early Access![/p][p][/p]

[p]

Player Augmentations
[p]Augmentations
are equipable player perks, and adds another layer of permanent progression and way to play your own personal way. These are viewed and equipped from Bozze's customize menu, but can also be double-checked at any time with the TAB summary screen inside missions in the case that you... forget your Augments.
[/p][p]You have your "budget" of
Power, and Augments can range from minor effects that are cheap or have a major effect for a high Power cost.[/p][p]Some examples are:[/p][p]
Personal shield has 400x capacity, but never recharges (Costs 3 Power)[/p][p]
Multi-Tool Mag Size increased by 6 (Costs 3 Power)[/p][p]
+10% on-foot damage for 10 seconds after a kill. This effect stacks. (Costs 5 Power)
There are also a few Augments with a
negative Power cost. These basically give you a debuff in exchange for a higher Power budget for the "good" perks.
[/p][p]While we don't intend to pigeonhole players into very specific "classes", we hope this creates the satisfaction and fun of making more unique, personal "builds" before even starting a mission. The higher your character level is, the more points you will have to spend. With this,
we've added higher levels beyond 10, so time to level up some more! Augments will also unlock through suits, helmets and completing Ventures etc.
The Hazard suit will unlock an Augment that decreases the speed of Radiation buildup for example. As you might assume, no Augments force you to wear any specific cosmetic, so feel free to mix and match.[/p][p]We have a ton of ideas for Augments. We will start with a smaller amount of them, just to see that you like the system, and then add more and more during Early Access as new mechanics get added that can be worked into Augments as well.[/p][p][/p]

Cargo Bag
[p]We've now made it easier to loot and carry many items by adding a
SACK![/p][p]Whenever you attempt to pick up an item and your inventory slots are all full, that item gets put into the cargo bag that appears in your inventory above everything else (just like other Heavy items like Cargo Boxes).[/p][p]You can put as many items as you want into the Bag, and works on mostly everything that isn't a Heavy item. Deploy the Bag on the ground to empty everything out in a pile. Or drop the Bag as it is by pressing G for others to pick up.[/p][p]Now you can easily vacuum all the goodies from a shipwreck like a loot goblin without needing to go back and forth.
OR bring extra guns and Med-Packs down to a ground fight.[/p][p]We hope the Bag is easy to use and is well-received by you all, but please let us know if you have any suggestions or feedback. This is just the first step to improving inventory across the game, and more additions and Bag changes will come in the future.[/p][p][/p]

[p]

Buddy-Bot Improvements
[p]For the solo and duo players, your favorite tin can gets a little bit smarter.[/p][p]Buddy now has a
command wheel you can access by standing next to him and holding Q.
Select which actions he can and cannot perform to your liking.[/p][p]Don't like Buddy crafting ammo all the time? Tell him to stop! Or turn everything off for an extra challenge.[/p][p]Buddy will now also focus fire on whatever enemy you ping with the middle-mouse button. He can now use all special weapons, like the Targeting module and Burst shield. Selecting which target is again reliant on pinging.[/p][p][/p]

[p]

New On-Foot Survival Mission
[p]Similar to the ship-combat focused Data Extraction mission, the new mission called "Data Breach" is also an
"endless waves" type of mission, but for on-foot combat.[/p][p]Keep the download going by moving around the arena, gaining Materia with each wave.[/p][p]There is an
Assembler for you to access, so you can craft weapons, ammo and Medbots as you go. Survive as many waves as possible, or extract early when the mission objectives are completed.[/p][p]
We're working on a second map for this mission type, which will be more indoors and corridor-focused.[/p][p][/p]

[p]

[/p]
New Radioactive Arachnid Enemy
[p]More spiders! And look how cute they are! Just don't stand near them for too long...[/p][p]These critters will start appearing just like the Flamethrower Arachnids in all places. We've made adjustments to spider enemies overall to make them a bit more potent as real threats.[/p][p]Rest assured, we're working on brand new enemy types that do unique things, not just variants like this.[/p][p][/p]

Yuletide Event
[p]Like we did for Halloween, there will be some holiday decorations added to the game soon.[/p][p]Help Bozze gather presents for Atiran survivors, and he'll reward you the Winter Zorbok helmet![/p][p]The Yuletide event will start in-game on
December 18:th and run until
January 1:st.[/p][p][/p]
