Hey Survivors,
[/p][p]We want to take a moment to address the timing around HumanitZ 1.0 so you aren’t left in the dark (turn on your flashlights!). 
[/p][p]Earlier this year, we shared that we were aiming to bring HumanitZ to 1.0 in 2025.
Our team was really excited about the progress we’d been making, and we were on track for a late 2025 launch.
[/p][p]After taking a hard look at where things are and what we want 1.0 to be, we’ve made the decision to launch HumanitZ 1.0 in Q1 2026.
[/p][p]This wasn’t an easy call, but it’s the right one for the game and for our community. We’re sorry to ask you to wait a little longer, but this time gives us what we need for polish on the new content, quality-of-life improvements, and finalizing localization for the currently included regions.

[/p][p]If you’ve been following our Zeek Feeds (and thank you to everyone who joined the live stream!), you’ve already seen some of the work going into 1.0. Here are a few highlights:
[/p][p]New drivable HMMWV (a long-requested community feature)[/p][p]Major performance optimizations, especially for hosted/server play[/p][p]New Character creation and customization [/p][p]Expanded Skills & Professions systems with multi-classing[/p][p]New training quests to onboard players, skipping the reworked tutorial[/p][p]Improved Zeek and enemy AI[/p][p]Optional affliction systems for deeper survival gameplay
[/p][p]And yes, the long-awaited Island is coming with 1.0. We’re keeping that one close to the chest for now because we can’t wait for players to discover it fresh.

We know delays are never the news players hope for, and we truly appreciate your patience and support as we take the time needed to make HumanitZ 1.0.

[p]New Zeek Feed is here

[/p][p]We hope our Survivors are doing well, in good health, and slowly preparing for the festive season! We on the other hand have no time for that, as we are fully locked in, adding the finishing touches to the 1.0 release. Below you will find some of the new features coming, but again, it is not all-inclusive. We still have a lot we have not shared, so you can experience it with fresh eyes.


New Body Types have been added: There is a slider option to allow different sizes to further create your own unique survivor, including lots of new hairstyles, facial hair, eye color, etc.
New driveable vehicles added:
New Bolt Action Rifle: Mosin (also you can find a unique mosin only scope as well)
New Player Hints System: This is to help onboard brand new players teach them the basics to get up and running even if they have completed the tutorial, plus you can get some nice XP for it. (This can be turned off in the settings)

Sharpening Stone: New way to repair bladed weapons. Yes, it can also be crafted!

New traps: Shotgun door traps, frag grenade tripwires, alarm clock tripwire alerts.
New POI: The Island!! Here is a small sneak peek of the Island, but keeping the images limited so as not to spoil too much.

Zeek threat update: Now large enemies have small chance to knock the player... Be Careful.

New Bandits Threat: Bandit Sniper and Bandit Boss AI have now been added.

Mr Money!! We now have a way for getting rid of the unwanted items in exchange for cash, that cash can be then used to purchase better items from other traders.
New Buildable/Crafting Actor: Canning Station added to preserve cooked soups or stews and help you get through those grueling winters
The info every survivor wants.....

We know everyone is waiting patiently for a release date for 1.0. So, on December 16th at 9PM GMT UK time, we will be hosting a HumanitZ Dev Team Live Stream on Twitch, playing the 1.0 version of the game so you can see it for yourself, as well as when you can expect to get your hands on it. The release date is hard set, it will not change, and we will announce the release date on stream. So get ready, Survivors!

[p]ZEED FEED 007 Dear Survivors! Let's kick off this month's Zeek Feed with telling you about the FormatGG event we attended last Thursday in Liverpool, UK. We showcased an exculsive 1.0 build to get some early feedback and the response to the new changes, features, and performance was very well received. It was great to hang out with gamers and discuss all things HumanitZ. Thanks again to FormatGG for having us! Ok now lets get into the 1.0 development...

New Magazines Update:
We have added new variation of magazines to the game. These can be found in the world and when the player reads them, they get a increase/buff in that area related to the magazine for a full in-game day. For example, reading the fishing magazine before you go fishing will increase your chance of catching fish and you'll get double the xp for all fishing actions. As for the others magazines, we'll let you discover what they do on your own. We are adding a lot of them, so keep an eye out.[/p][p][/p][p]Custom Character Update:
The new custom characters, to include the new female models, are now fully implemented in the 1.0 build. Clothing and weapons will now show damage, dirt and blood applied over time. Clothing can be cleaned when walking into lakes or when raining, and melee weapons can be cleaned when repairing. [/p][p]Game Performance Update:
We want to discuss game performance next as we know we needed to address game stuttering and FPS drops. We have recently made huge steps forward with improving these issues with a drastic increase in performance across single player, multiplayer, and most notably the dedicated servers. We have received overwhelming feedback from our team of testers how much better the performance and expeirence is on the servers, so hopefully you all will enjoy the optimization.

Map Overhaul Update:
Level design and world building is really breathing new life into the map. In every area where updates have been made, the game feels more immersive the feedback for the map as a whole has been resoundingly positive.

Official Server Wipe – Monday, October 27th

[p]Dear Survivors,
[/p][p]We’d like to inform you that on Monday, October 27th - 11am UK, there will be a server wipe on both the PvE and PvP official servers. Private server owners DO NOT need to wipe their own servers!
[/p][p]It’s been three months since our last major update, meaning three months since the last wipe of official servers. As we move closer to our 1.0 release, we’ve decided to perform a wipe to freshen up the experience for new players and help clean up the official servers.
[/p][p]We’re also aware of several areas where the servers and systems can be improved, such as floating sky-bases and unraidable buildings (against official server rules), glitches and exploits, and abandoned bases/vehicles/horses, and we’ve already addressed many of these issues as part of our upcoming 1.0 build.
[/p][p]Over the next few weeks, expect to see a lot more info and updates on the progress towards 1.0. We are just as excited as you to get it into your hands, but we want to make sure everything is done right, not done fast. Remember, 1.0 is not the finish line, it's the starting block!
