Important Server, Map and Wipes Information



Dear, Survivors

There is some important news and information regarding our servers, map updates and server/game wipes.

Firstly Shockbyte our official server partner is currently in the final stages of migrating HumanitZ over to a new improved server and hosting panel. All this should work without too much downtime but it's planned to coincide with our next content update later this month for halloween.

Next up is improvements to the map, this will continue to happen throughout our early access journey. When we have to perform wipes it's only servers that are affected, but depending on what areas of the map have been updated and changed etc this might affect where people have their bases plus we have bunkers coming to HumanitZ so a fresh clean wipe is the only option.

Again we are sorry and I know some players find this very frustrating but until we fully finish the map and hit 1.0 these changes will continue to happen as well as wipes to match them.

So for the spooky season update players can expect a full server wipe and it's fully recommended to begin a brand new save and enjoy all the new changes and updates made to the map.

Greetings Survivors,

It's been a little while since our last zeek feed but our small committed team has been hard a work, the last update of 0.912 was a huge update for us making big changes to how the game plays and it has created a really positive impact which is awesome to see and then it was straight back to work getting ready for the spooky season update.

I want to dive straight in a give a massive shoutout to Format (https://format.gg/) the world's only games and nightlife event, it was an honour for HumanitZ to feature at the event in Liverpool, UK. Our booth was busy all evening with gamers and press wanting to see what our game is all about, it really was an amazing experience for us. We hope to do more events like this in the future and we thank everyone at Format for making it possible and to everyone that came to see us.




The current state of Localization/translation in HumanitZ: We first translated the game back in December 2023 with help from our publishers. Since then the game has had lots of major updates including the quest system and menu updates causing us to be behind in translation due to the sheer number of words added to the game. The community have kindly offered to help us with this which we are truly truly grateful for. So what next? We will be moving our translation system over to crowdin in the coming days and anyone that has been helping us with translating will be notified on the new system we are using and how you can continue to help us. As for the Chinese translation, this is being dealt with by a separate team which again came from support from our publishers. So we would like to apologise for the delay in the localization, this is a one heck of a task for us, but we are making great process and hope to have it completed soon.




In September we celebrated our one year of early access and we're proud of our journey so far as a first time studio. We managed to release 12 updates in 12 months which has been a huge achievement for us, constantly fixing and improving HumanitZ while continuing to add content. The help we’ve had from our community with ideas, feedback and bug reports has been phenomenal so we really want to thank our players for a great first year! Thank you.



Spooky Season is just around the corner and we don't want to spoil too much as we’ll be revealing some teasers on social media very soon. But you can expect all of last season's event items and props added with lots of new additions and cosmetics plus there might even be a new zeek threat…. You’ll have to wait and see!



We are also working on our official website and merch store which will be live very soon so keep an eye out for that.



Right let's get back into what is coming to the game in the next few updates:

Underground Bunkers will be added
Sat Nav system for minimap while driving
Placing items from your inventory so you can place them around your base for example
Drivers and passengers will be able to access their inventory while inside a vehicle
Further improvements to Steam Deck
Ladder system
PVP Overhaul
Car Modifications (Think mad max style)
Animal Hide Tailoring
Dog Companion Inventory

Server Update: Small fixes applied to all servers restart required.

Added new craftable improvised Pick Axe.
Log repair issue fixed.
Split to pockets issue fixed.
Removed advanced lock from prison.
Weapon flashlight attachment when removed issue fixed.
Auto stacking issue when opening containers.
Increased the spawn chance of finding salt.
All hoodies can now be used to make rags like tshirts.
Added more missing lights to a house with generator.
Fixed canned food losing sealed status when in quickslot.
Fixed equip function for items in ground backpack and container.
Various minor bugs fixes.

Update/Patch 912.B

Hey Survivors

We are back with another patch to fix some on going issues from our recent 912 update.

All servers will need to be restarted to pull the lastest update.


Fixes
Fixed dog not immediately destroyed when disconnecting.
Fixed gas stations not able to siphon small amounts of fuel.
Fixed fueling car not respecting fuel capacity.
Fixed exploit with dropping backpack/weapon while performing an action.
Fixed some weapons losing durability when repaired.
Fixed spawn point not showing up as a respawn option.
Fixed bear traps not affecting animals.
Fixed trader exploit.
Fixed Backpack durability text.
Fixed Car glitch when you spam interact/jump.
Fixed reloading save, fridge and battery charger no longer powered by house generator.
Fixed can't equip car components using the equip menu option.
Fixed collecting of water from a pond not accounting for backpack space.
Fixed trader food issue (Capacity and sealed status issues fixed).
Fixed issue with Knob quest not unlocking the building option of the beehive.
Fixed Buck Fernandez ghost spawn issue for dedicated servers.
Fixed fishing water detection issues.
Fixed whistling when renaming containers.
Fixed barricades not attaching to new buildings.
Fixed issue when pick up animation is played when there's no space in inventory.
Fixed some houses missing lights with house generators.
Fixed issues with random items respawning when no respawn is set.
Fixed enemy dog playing sfx when dead for client on servers.
Fixed issues with house generator and parts being removed.
Potential fix for black screen when there are issues joining or switching servers.

Changes
Sealed canned food can now stack until it's been open this will help with inventory space.
You now need a hammer in hand to repair structures.
Updated tactical and regular machete description.
Tactical machetes can now harvest animals.
You can no longer use locks with prison doors.

Additions/QOL
New on screen UI notification when unlocking a new blueprint or recipe.
Added use option for battery when inside a container.
Added vehicle horn gamepad key.
Improvements to collision of multistory buildings to improve shooting indoors.
Improvements and changes to house lights to help with performance.
Improvements to UI scaling settings.
