Kingdom-Crier #16: Wolves and Ranching!

Hey Kontras, welcome to Kingdom-Crier #16!

Content Update #14: Wolves

Wolves are searching the lands of Noberia for food!



Pack Hunters, they'll call groups into action to attack their target.

Be careful, or you may find an outnumbered Mortal in their sights.

Taming them can be tricky, but we're sure you'll figure it out!

When tamed, they can act as a great scout or first line of defense, but make sure you keep them fed.

In addition, we added support for specifying the Animal Types allowed per pasture and improved behavior around Raiders attacking tames.

Tames will now eat from stockpiles that contain the appropriate food in their pasture.

Hey Kontras - it's time for Kingdom-Crier #15!

Roadmap Update

It's been a bit since we've updated the Roadmap, so let's take a look.

As a reminder, there are 3 types of updates for Noble Fates - Updates that address bugs and issues including those that are listed on the Priority Fixes list; Content Updates focus on expanding existing systems and filling them with content; and Feature Updates that add new features to the game expanding the overall breadth of what the game has to offer.

We'll continue to work on these and release them as they're ready, We've started work on some of the more difficult ones internally, so stay tuned for some crunchy Content Updates!

Finally, we have the Feature Updates. As a reminder, 8 of these will arrive during Early Access. 3 have landed so far.

[h2]Feature Update #4[/h2]
Feature Update #4 is the beefiest Feature Update we've worked on. We aren't ready to announce it yet, but rest assured that it'll be worth the wait!

[h2]Early Access[/h2]
Development wise, we're around 1/3 of the way through what we wanted to accomplish with Early Access. We're tracking a little behind our original schedule, but the support we've received ensures we have the time we need to make the game shine.

What's new in Main?

We did a quick bug pass after the last crier, here are the highlights:

Character visuals (especially Human Females) were tuned and improved!
Rooms and Buildings will no longer extend down through the Terrain!
Improved underground camera behavior!
Silver and Gold are now more plentiful!
Trading now retains selected items when you cycle Trading Partners!

Finnley made this awesome Mountain Fortress!





cypr` put Growable Grass to use.

dpahfl put the finishing touches on a Cliffside Kingdom!

KArtistry by Karma Drak Karma is unstoppable. Just when they thought they might have ran out of ideas, they put this mod together with the largest breadth of content to date!

Initial Nobles by MrPurple6411 MrPurple stood up a multitude of deep, code based mods that will form the basis of a bright future for Modding Nobles Fates.

The one that stands out to us, however, is Initial Nobles. It started out as a way to bypass portions of the intro, but it's growing into a starting scenario editor!

It's very much a work in progress, but tackling the biggest Community ask is more than enough to earn this one a spot on the list and our gratitude!

Stone Church Windows by dpahfl What this mod lacks in breadth, it more than makes up for in charm.

Dpahfl is one of the most active Noble Fates players and much like Karma, their dip into the world of modding appears to have come out of a desire to better express themselves in-game.


Not only did dpahfl release these charming Windows, but they put them to use in a series of Screenshots that really capture the essence of the Love & Elves Update and nearly placed in the Screenshot contest themselves!

What's new in Main?

There have been a few key changes since the last Crier that were focused on Character visuals - here are the highlights:

We improved the placement of Human facial Features!
We resolve rendering artifacts across all of the races!
We scaled down the mouth flap from speaking to prevent otherworldly faces!
Feature Update #4 Progress

Feature Update #4 is well underway, though members of the team have been cycling through vacations to recharge our batteries and catch up on some much needed rest and relaxation.

We're very excited about what's coming next and we think it's going to change up how everyone plays a fair bit! Stay tuned for more details!
