Festival aftermath, plans and stuff...
Hello, Horny!
Steam's Next Fest has ended, and boy did we have a blast! Over the course of the last week we've gathered a tremendous audience, resulting in thousands of views, over 1,500 new Wishlists and, what's most important, new fans. The reception "LaHS" gets blows our minds and is something we totally haven't expected. And this can result in only one thing... WE WANT TO MAKE IT EVEN BETTER!
Initially, we have planned to release the game around the end of March, and even with the main mechanics being mostly done and most of the illustrations drawn, we want to move that date and push further. Not only in terms of the game's scope but especially with it's quality. This won't be possible without your support, but this topic will be covered in the next post.
We want to do this not only because we just want to make the game better, but to show you how much we appreciate you, our fans, and the feedback we got from you. During the next months we will be focusing on these three areas:
- Making the game's world more lively
- Making the statistics and grind more pleasant and meaningful
- Adding more "interesting" characters and scenes (illustrations)
Of course there is much more to make, fix and improve, but no point in listing it all now.
As some of you might have already noticed, a small demo update was uploaded today. Initially it was supposed to consist of three new languages of GUI: Chinese, Spanish (made with the help from @Kappa and @ඞNET_FLIX★ from our Discord server ❤) and... well... now we get to the sad part.
Look, we know we're just making a stupid hentai game, with boobas and stuff. This whole gaming industry is all about fun, we get that. And believe me, we've been fighting ourselves if we should be doing anything about it, but we... we're just two terrified people and we simply cannot pretend that nothing wrong is happening...
Downloading the game, on the language select screen, you will be able to see the third language that was supposed to be released today, but when you'll try to select it, you'll see this statement:
Due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine, we decided to stop working on adding Russian language to our game. It is not easy for us, because not all Russians are to blame for the war, and our decision probably will not help too many people anyway. But please take this little gesture of a small, unknown game studio as our attempt to deal with our sense of helplessness in the face of the atrocities of Russian attacks, which are sheer genocide. As Poles, we do what we can to show solidarity with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters whose blood is shed on their own land today.
Слава Україні!
We don't want this space to turn into a political debate, and we're really sorry for everyone who comes to us to take off their minds of the current situation. But living in Poland, sharing our borders with Ukraine and both Russia and Belarus, we just had to do something. We know that we can do jack shit about it. But this is exactly why we wanted to do at least that. A small gesture of solidarity.
See you with the next update, hopefully in the better times!
