Nuclear Dawn Update Released

An update for Nuclear Dawn has been released.

This update includes the following:
  • Fixed an issue where players could be disconnected with a "Too Many Commands" error when dragging on the minimap as commander.
  • Fixed an issue where players could be disconnected with a "Too Many Commands" error in the commander tutorials during various actions.


Missing note from last update:
  • Added support for Steam Rich Presence features in the new Steam Chat


Servers are not required to be updated for these fixes.

Nuclear Dawn Update Released

An update for Nuclear Dawn has been released. It is required for dedicated servers.

This update includes upstream Source Engine improvements, including the following:
  • Various security and stability improvements.
  • Fixed physics not operating at the correct tickrate when specifying non-standard -tickrate options on the command line.
  • Lag compensation system will now reliably restore pose parameters responsible for animation layering. (This makes server-side hitboxes for lag compensated players better match client-side rendered models).

Nuclear Dawn Update Released

An update for Nuclear Dawn has been released. This update is required for servers.

Fixed hangs in local servers (including tutorial missions and offline play), as well as Windows dedicated servers, due to old statistics server being taken offline.
Fixed structure placement sometimes being possible in areas that were not empty.
Fixed backup assemblers being able to be built in "Lost Signal" areas.
Improved performance of idle turrets.
Ported in various upstream Source Engine security fixes.
Bot kills now grant normal XP if at least eight humans are in the server.

Nuclear Dawn Update Released

An optional update for Nuclear Dawn has been released. THe notes are below.

  • Fixed issues getting stuck unable to spawn sometimes when there are many bots in the server.
  • Fixed supply stations bypassing player cooldowns for receiving more grenades and hypospray shots.
  • Fixed bots not knowing how to path about commander-built walls and barriers.
  • Added new server config bot_profiles.txt to cfg folder for server operators to be able to configure bot profiles. Default one ships with many more profiles per difficulty.
  • Stealth class bots will no longer be automatically added (such as via bot_quota) by default until they are reworked. ConVar bot_stealth_enable has been added for ability to override.
  • Other minor bot improvements.

  • Tutorial videos are now streamed online rather than stored locally.
  • Other file cleanup, with the above, causing the game to take up 15-20% less space on disk.
