Hotfix #9 | March 2026 Update

[h2]Greetings, Guardians![/h2][p]Time for an update! Our goal with this update was to tie up some loose ends so the game is in a really solid spot before adding anything further. So this is mostly bug fixes, performance improvements and quality of life additions.[/p][p][/p]

(Live on Steam, Coming Soon to all platforms)[/h3][p]Be yee warned it's a long list!! [/p]
  • [p]Jump-scare" bug fixed. When camera shortens instantly you no longer see the inside of the fox for a single frame. [/p]
  • [p]Hats now have their own slot in the character customization tab. (No longer share slot with head runes) [/p]
  • [p]Hat materials, meshes, and textures optimized. [/p]
  • [p]Hat now fade with character when camera is near. [/p]
  • [p]Player home portals no longer cost money to access. [/p]
  • [p]Fix for Raven Groom that caused it to be strangely shiny. [/p]
  • [p]Optimized many problematic textures that were taking up too much memory. -Optimized several meshes(like Grimnir corpse in cell) so they use less memory. [/p]
  • [p]Optimized various SK Meshes with better LODs (things like portals, levers, guardians, etc) -Optimized Spyglass. -Added something secret... we'll never tell [/p]
  • [p]Wisp fix. Many wisps didn't follow their paths as intended. They now do. [/p]
  • [p]Wisp Fix. Wisp sometimes used incorrect particle color. [/p]
  • [p]Massive optimization for structure assemblies in Stormvale and other parts of world. This improvement reduce the hitching that happens when new chunks of the world are streamed in when exploring. These hitches were most severe in Stormvale. [/p]
  • [p]Game credit images optimized.[/p]
  • [p]Loading screen polished. Shader text now matches color, fades implemented. General clean up so it isn't blip-blooping. [/p]
  • [p]Grimnir Ending Encounter handling changed to make crashes less likely. (Offloads world fully before loading next level) [/p]
  • [p]Desert and Cinder Fox Skins now have glowing tails like all other foxes.[/p]
  • [p]Items that shouldn't ignite no longer ignite. Such as the small stone statues, turtle, and metal relics.[/p]
  • [p]Items that do catch fire now ignite in the proper location and not in their center.[/p]
  • [p]Splashes for breaching or submerging in ocean water now spawn at correct height.[/p]
  • [p]Spirit Antlers now have near camera fade.[/p]
  • [p]Optimization for Raccoon Cleaners. Raccoon Cleaners no longer spawn when items are resetting IF the player is not near the item. In these case the item resets without the raccoon appearing. Raccoon Cleaners also properly destroy/unload themselves after hiding into the ground.[/p]
  • [p]Particle spawning on Grimnir now works as intended.[/p]
  • [p]Bear Boss portals now teleport the player character slightly higher to avoid "dancing bug".[/p]
  • [p]Water height fog turned off due to some places underground being below sea level and it was causing issues.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed up lighting Post Bear Boss (it was pitch dark before).[/p]
  • [p]Stag now properly animates in end encounter cutscene for Grimnir[/p]
  • [p]Many other small misc optimization that are too boring to list out. [/p][p][/p]
