Level Up!

There are 6 skills you can level up: Farming, Reading, Fishing, Ranching, Cooking, and Combat. You will gain experience in each skill by using them. For example, you gain experience in the Farming skill by, among other activities, planting and harvesting crops, and experience in the Combat skill by defeating enemies and unlocking new spells.

But what is the point of leveling up your skills? Well, as you can see below, at certain levels you gain a new passive effect or unlock for that skill. For example, at level 4 Farming, you will have an increased chance of harvesting higher level crops as well as unlocking the recipe for sprinklers which will automatically water your crops.
