For those who haven't played since Early Access, did you know we have a new Weapons Skill System?

Here's a rundown of what this means:

[h3]Weapon Skill System[/h3]

• Introduced a Weapon Skills System to enhance combat progression.
  
• Gain XP for weapon use (eliminating enemies, hunting, etc.).
  
• Weapons are categorized into six types:
  
  • Pistols
  • Submachine Guns
  • Shotguns
  • Rifles
  • DMRs
  • Snipers
• As proficiency increases, preset stats improve automatically.
  
• Perk System Added:
  • Unlock perks at set XP levels per weapon type.
    
  • Example: DMR perk allows reloading while scoped in.
    
  • More perks to customize your combat style!
    
• Check the PDA > Weapon Skill System for progress tracking.

[h3]Community Competition: #MakeShiftRun[/h3]

• Final 30 Hours to submit entries for the #MakeShiftRun speedrun competition!
  
• Objective: Reach Makeshift Camp as quickly as possible in a new game.
  
• Rules:
  
  • No mods allowed.
    
  • Submit a uploaded YouTube video of your run.
    
  • Post in the Events Channel on the official Discord Server with the hashtag #MakeShiftRun.
    
• Winners:
  • Top 3 fastest runs will receive exclusive Zero Sievert merch.
    
  • Winners will be announced in next week's video.

Hello hunters and welcome back to the bunker!

Last week we kicked off our first community speedrun competition right here in the bunker, where we challenged you to speedrun unlocking the second map, Makeshift camp, as quickly as possible.

From looking at the entries, getting a sub-five minute run is where the competition is at right now, which is absolutely mind-blowing! If you check out the events channel in the official ZERO Sievert Discord server, you’ll find lots of hunters theory crafting and sharing videos of their runs, making it the perfect place to pick up tips and tricks. There’s also a detailed discussion thread with loads of great suggestions too, so definitely check them out in the Discord before you start your run.

🏃‍♂️ ZERO Sievert Speedrun Competition: Unlock Makeshift Camp! 🚂

Hunters, it’s time to put your skills to the test in our first-ever Speedrun community competition straight from the Bunker! Think you have what it takes to be the fastest hunter in Zakov? Here’s your chance to prove it.

🎯 The Challenge: Unlock Makeshift Camp
Start a new game save and race to unlock the Makeshift Camp map as quickly as possible.

📝Rules of Engagement:

• Start a fresh save on any difficulty.
  
• No mods, no sneaky video editing, and no funny business. Deaths are allowed, but they’re not recommended if you want to win!
  
• Timer Start: When you first spawn into the Bunker.
  
• Timer End: When your hunter appears on the Makeshift Camp map after the train ride.

📹 How to Enter:

• Record Your Run: Use your favorite screen recording software to capture your speedrun.
  
• Upload to YouTube: Once recorded, upload your run to YouTube.
  
• Submit Your Entry: Share your video link in the #events channel on the official ZERO Sievert Discord, along with the hashtag #makeshiftrun.

🏆 Prizes
Of course there can’t be a competition without PRIZES! The top three fastest hunters will get the opportunity to win exclusive ZERO Sievert merch! This is your chance to not only prove your skill but to walk away with bragging rights and some sweet loot.

• This competition is only open to US, UK and EU, and 18+ only
  
• Competition Deadline: Midnight, February 7th. GMT
  
• Winners Announced: February 13th.
  
• You only officially enter the competition when you upload your speedrun onto YouTube and share the video link in the #events channel in the official ZERO Sievert discord using the hashtag #MakeShiftRun. 
  
• Your first entry will be considered your only entry.
  
• All entries must be submitted by Thursday 7th February by 12:00am GMT.
  
• Modern Wolf have the right to remove any entry at their discretion.
  
• Objectionable or offensive content will be disqualified.
  
• The competition will be judged by an independent panel of Modern Wolf staff.
  
• The winner will be contacted by the Modern Wolf Community Team via email/DM.
  
• The winner has 7 days to respond and claim the prize; if no response has been received after 7 days, you forfeit your prize.
  
• Modern Wolf employees are excluded from participating in the event.
  
• Modern Wolf reserves the right to exchange any prize for a prize of similar value.
  
• Modern Wolf have the final say on the winner and prizes of the event.

Hello hunters and welcome back to the bunker!

One of the recent topics of discussion on here has been about this series itself, with players unsure or confused about the purpose of these videos and what they can expect from them going forward.

Well be confused no longer! The whole point of these videos is to have yet another outlet where we can interact with you and share information. From looking at the Steam discussion comments, there seemed to be many of you who thought these videos sole purpose were letting you know about game updates. While we’ll always include the most up to date information possible for you, as we’re a small team, sadly that means we won’t always have tons of big development updates weekly, but what we can do is let you know about reported issues and what we’re doing to address them, give you community updates and recommend content creators for you to check out, to name just a few topics!

Another thing we realised was the discussion title and thumbnail being called the 'Bunker Update' potentially being misleading and many of you we're hoping for it to be an actual update in the in-game bunker. Therefore, we've changed the wording to title this series more appropriately to avoid any further confusion.

In these videos we also want to spotlight your community queries and most reported bugs of the week. So definitely let us know down below if there's something you want us to address!
