Update 0.41.18 | Patch Notes

Hunters,

We're rolling out a new patch for ZERO Sievert, and we truly appreciate your patience and support during the wait. This patch is focusing on bug fixes and implementing top feedback from players who use controllers. Here's the detailed list:
New Feature
• Quick Inventory Transfer on Controller: The cursor will now snap to the closest item when transferring items between inventories, instead of following the item moved to the other inventory.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed a bug where quick-selecting items to a complete stack could greatly increase inventory weight.
 • Fixed a bug where stat info for equipped weapon mods was not displayed.
 • Fixed a bug showing debug text in the tooltip during the "Old Man" quest.
 • Fixed a bug where debug text was shown in the tooltip for the "I've helped you dock" message.
 • Fixed a bug where various menus could not be closed with ESC if the first in-game interaction was done via a controller.
 • Fixed a crash occurring when consuming an item while it was in the sell window.
 • Fixed a bug preventing the completion of Scientist Work daily quests.
 • Fixed a bug where guns and armours could reach negative durability levels.
 • Fixed a bug where weapons bought from vendors would drop to negative durability after firing a couple of rounds.
 • Fixed a bug where inventory capacity did not update until the panel was reopened.
 • Fixed a bug preventing players from equipping and viewing stats on unequipped weapon attachments.
 • Fixed a bug showing all quests with the Barman as the quest giver.
 • Fixed a bug that prevented stackable items from combining into a stack when quick-transferring.
 • Fixed instances of incorrect quest tracking when using an old save.
 • Fixed an issue where the game difficulty resets upon closing the game.
 • Fixed weapon overlap in the mod weapons screen when the window is full. It now prevents additional items from appearing and prioritises player inventory - meaning if you move a weapon from your stash to your inventory, the panel will prioritise displaying it.
 • Fixed overlapped items present when placing equipped items on top of inventory items.
 • Fixed a bug causing overlap in inventory when removing a weapon modification.
Controller
• Fixed a crash when pressing L1 on a fresh launch with any PlayStation controller.
 • Fixed a crash on launch with a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller connected.
Known Issues
• The PlayStation 5 controller may affect other controllers connected to the PC.
 • Players are unable to place map markers in the centre of quest circles.
 • Equipped armour may become misaligned after using Alt+Tab.
 • Players are unable to scroll through Quest text within the PDA.
 • Quick moving equipped primary weapons to inventory will not update weight amount.
Additional Notes
• Certain daily quests will automatically complete after this update and in all future updates to prevent issues related to daily quests that may arise after updating the game.
 • We want to reassure our community that localisations are in progress and will be available during Early Access / at the 1.0 launch. We'll share more information when we can.
 • We are exploring more ways for you to customise your weapon range. This includes the upcoming skill system, and we are in discussion of potentially adding a difficulty slider allowing you to adjust the range to a certain extent. Stay tuned for more information.
 • We've fixed multiple bugs related to weapon overlapping in the inventory. If you notice any more instances of this or other inventory issues, please let us know.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. Happy hunting!

Update 0.41 Live NOW | Patch Notes

Hunters,

The moment has arrived! Update 0.41 is now live, and with it comes a couple of new features that we've been eagerly working on. Here’s what you can jump into right now:

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Controller Support
• Grab your gamepads! Controller support has officially landed.
Mapping
• You might need to adjust your controller settings in the Steam 'Controller' tab, ensuring it's set to "per game override." This is particularly important if you've previously tweaked Steam's controller settings to get gamepads working, as it may conflict with the official gamepad support.
 • Take ZERO Sievert with you on Steam Deck. It is fully playable, and we're currently working on full Deck verification.
UI Functionality Overhaul
• We've introduced a significant overhaul to the UI, enhancing not only the look but also the functionality, making it more intuitive and efficient for all players. This update also includes extensive backend changes as we pave the way for potential future features.
Inventory Sorting
• One of the most requested features by all of you – quick inventory sorting is here. Now you can spend more time on killing and looting.
 • We've heard you on the need for stash sorting – it's on its way in the very next hotfix!
AI Weapon Recoil
• AI combat just got more realistic. Enemies will now deal with weapon recoil – the battle is now fairer, which also implies high-tier enemies are (a lot) better at handling their guns than your ordinary road bandits.
Feedback for 0.41
• With the major backend overhauls in 0.41, we’ve ironed out as many issues as we could. However, if you stumble upon any oddities, please let us know through the usual channels (Bug Report / Feedback / Feature Request / Steam Forum). Rest assured, we're on standby to squash any bugs and polish your experience.

We're very grateful for the support and feedback from our community, as always. And we cannot wait to share with you all the amazing new BIG things that we are baking in the oven. Stay tuned, stay safe in Zakov, and happy hunting!

Developer Update 2024 Vol.2

Hunters,

Brace yourselves - Update 0.41 is landing next week! Your enthusiasm and patience as we refine this update are truly appreciated.

As previously mentioned, the upcoming update will bring you controller support, which will make the game enjoyable on Steam Deck too while we work towards full Deck verification.

We have added weapon recoil to all AI enemies, making the battle fairer. Keep in mind that the level of weapon recoil is tied to enemy levels.

And surprise! With the new UI and functionalities, we were able to include a long and one of the most requested features – Inventory Sorting – in patch 0.41. With the new feature, you are now able to sort your inventory automatically – either by Weight, by Type, or by Item Value.

We have a lot more exciting content to share with you very soon after 0.41 release - stay tuned for updates as we continue to shape ZERO Sievert into the ultimate survival experience.

Until then, stay sharp, and happy hunting in Zakov!
