Journal #31 – Sea Trials Roadmap

[p]Welcome to our latest developer journal! Today, we're taking a look ahead at the future timeline of Sea Trials and Arena, and a more detailed look at our release plan for both stages of development and the various steps in between.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can read the full Journal #31 here. [/p][p][/p][p]All our best,[/p][p]The Capstan Team[/p]

Journal #30 – A Year In Review

[p]Our latest monthly Developer Journal is here. This time, we’re taking a look back over the past year, and ahead to what’s coming next. We want to thank all of you for being such a huge part of our 2025, and we hope we can all share in a fantastic 2026 together.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can read the full Journal #30 here.

Additionally, we've been remiss in sharing our previous Journals with you here on the Steam Community. We don't have a social media / community team, and often times it's easy to fall behind on this. Apologies for the delay, but for those of you who didn't see our last two Journals, you can find Journal 28 and Journal 29 here:

Journal #28

Journal #29

We also really want to thank everyone for your support in Wishlisting Ahoy here on Steam. We crossed an amazing milestone of 100,000 (and climbing!) wishlists late last year, which was an enormous gift to the team before we took a short rest over the holidays. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We never anticipated the support you've given us.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We'll make a renewed effort to keep the Steam community updated here this year, but please always feel welcome in our Discord community, which we're much better at updating! We also enjoy joining in the conversation quite regularly there!

All our best,

The Capstan Team[/p]

Journal #27 – La cañonera El Polvorín

[p]Our monthly Developer Journal for September is here. This month we discuss the new Journal schedule, showcase our latest addition to the fleet - El Polvorín, and give a progress report across the team.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can read the full Journal here.[/p]

Journal #26 – The Voyage Continues

[p]We're back! Our monthly Developer Journals have returned now that we've (semi-)recovered from the excited busyness of the last few months.[/p][p][/p][p]This month, we're releasing the Journal for everyone at the same time, due to the fact that we've yet to be able to distribute contributor roles which would allow us to provide the usual one-week early access. We hope we can return to that format next month.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]While this month is a little word-heavy, we felt it was important to give you an update on where everything is at, while giving us room to prepare, plan and get stuck in on Sea Trials work for the rest of this month and into September.
[/p][p]For clarity:[/p]
  • [p]Kickstarter Survey will go live for supporters on Friday 22nd August.  [/p]
  • [p]Late Pledges should continue, and upgrades to your existing pledges may be possible.  [/p]
  • [p]If not, don't fret! Ahoy.gg will provide an upgrade and new pledge path soon(tm)![/p]
