MECHANIC: BREAKING THE GAS LAMPS

Enemies can’t see in the dark. If you need to move stealthily, you’ll have to eliminate nearby light sources.

Breaking gas lamps is one of the most effective ways to cloak the environment in shadow. The moonlight alone will be enough for you to see. Stay in the darkness. Because they’re out there, searching for you.

The first concept belongs to a special item called the "Sound Toy". This item is one of the tools players can use to create noise and distract others.

MECHANIC OF THE WEEK: FOCUS


With so many enemies in THE SENTINEL, our players may find it a bit difficult to maintain control. For this reason, we have added a focus system to the game, which allows players to see the location of enemies behind walls. This feature can be used as long as the focus bar is full. You need to consume antidote or blue herb to replenish the focus.

The focus feature can be boosted with special items and this allows you to see the collectible items around you.

MECHANIC OF THE WEEK: LEVER GATES


Lever gates are another kind of gate you can encounter but since gate types are randomized you might never encounter this type!

To open lever gates you need to find and activate all the levers scattered around, levers themselves deactivate after some time so you need to be quick

We’ve officially changed the name of The Sentinel Remake to THE SENTINEL. Check out our updated Steam page for all the latest details by clicking here.

We're going to share more updates and details with you very soon, including some deep gameplay insights. We're aware that old trailers and posts were not clear about what kind of game THE SENTINEL is. So we'll focus on that.

THE SENTINEL's playtests are about to begin and we're so excited to see the end of the tunnel! We just want you to wait a little longer, more updates to come very soon.
