0.3.0c
- updated translations for existing languages
- increased XP gain over the first 10 minutes in Stage 3
- moved some stage items closer to the starting point

There are six new achievements to unlock in the strangely addicting horde survival game Vampire Survivors. As players know, new achievements means new stuff to find, and this update adds some exciting new content to the popular indie game.
The biggest new addition is a new zone, which is called the Dairy Plant. It's quite a bit more complex than the existing forest and library stages, with lots of terrain and obstacles to navigate and hordes of several new enemy types. The first batch you'll into are some ornery lizardmen, but they're accompanied by a new version of the encircling plants from the first stage. This time around, it's snake head statues and what appear to be jellyfish - they'll appear in a circle around your character, meaning you'll need to clear out everything that's trapped in there with you.
There's also a new weapon to find in update 0.3.0. We haven't found it yet, but as usual, there are clues to be found in the six new achievements that have arrived along with the update.

Vampire Survivors might get a new character and weapon next week

Vampire Survivors is in for some superb additions next week. Developer Poncle has shared its plans for patch 0.3.0, though some goodies are still in the works, so they might not make it into the update.
The run-based roguelite game could be getting a new character, weapon, and weapon evolution, though the developer is still working on them, so they might not make the patch. Further details aren't available just yet, so sit tight. Poncle reckons that patch 0.3.0 will release on March 1 or 2, so you won't have too long to wait and see regardless.
What we do know, though, is that we're getting three new achievements to unlock: a new stage that includes fresh enemies and events, a hyper mode for the stage, and one new game mechanic to keep things fresh. Antonio is also getting an armour and health bonus, Gennaro and Sour Clerici are getting a health boost, and Krochi will be swifter. Alongside some minor optimisations, we're also getting tentative fixes to stop the game freezing on startup after using localisation mods or on character selection after save data corruption.

It may be a casual indie game and a retro one at that, but Vampire Survivors is proving enormously popular since its release on Steam in December. In fact, it just hit a new player count record - right before the release of Vampire Survivors patch 0.2.13 and the release of a brand new stage later this week.
Vampire Survivors is an inexpensive indie game that's only been out in Steam early access for a couple of months, but it's already proving itself to be one of the best vampire games on PC. The bullet hell shooter gives the player control over their character's movement but not the shooting, so it's more about staying alive than spamming the attack button.
The "gothic horror casual game" became a hit for developer Poncle very quickly, and Vampire Survivors has now it a new concurrent player count peak on Steam - 77,061, which is up by around 6,000 players from its last record from a week ago, suggesting it could go up even higher.
