Controller Aiming Improvements and New Aim Assist Options

Today’s patch updates controller sensitivity, smoothness and adds an adjustable aim assist feature for targeting enemy weak points.

This is an update I’ve been working on for several weeks with the goal of improving play when using a controller. Aiming should be smoother and we’re hoping it makes for a comfortable experience when playing with a controller.

The “Weak Point Aim Assist” will help with aiming at enemy weak points while using the third eye, it has low, medium and high settings. You can combine it with the existing “Weak Point Stickiness” setting which helps to keep weak points targeted once the reticle is over them.

  • Feature: New “Weak Point Aim Assist” setting available in “Settings” > “Accessibility”
  • Adjustment: Smoother controller aiming
  • Adjustment: Slightly higher default controller sensitivity (your existing setting won’t be changed if you already started playing). You can adjust this in “Settings” > “Controller”

Patch Notes for December 5th 2024

Hey, today we have an update for the credits (thank you to our localisation team and community testers!) as well as some adjustments to settings and stats.

  • Adjustment: Credits updated for localisation teams and community testers
  • Feature: A second song now plays towards the end of the credits so it isn’t silent after the main credits song finishes
  • Feature: Added support for AZERTY keyboards which can be enabled in “Settings” > “Controller” > “Keyboard Remapping”
  • Bug Fix: Removed redundant resolution option when in windowed mode is active
  • Adjustment: The game window can be resized manually by dragging the edges when in windowed mode. After manual resizing, the aspect ratio will be automatically adjusted to be 16:9 for correct display with the fixed camera angles and cutscenes
  • Adjustment: Text for options in dropdown menus is a little larger and dropdowns have been adjusted to show at least 4 items before needing to scroll (previously showed 3 items)
  • Adjustment: Icons for the currently mapped buttons are now displayed when controls are mentioned in accessibility setting descriptions
  • Adjustment: Tweaks to stats required for 6 star rankings. Additional Detail: The formula for the calculation hasn't changed but it will block awarding 6 stars if you didn't find all artifacts/critters for the level
