v1.28 - Achievements + Gun & Spike Changes + MY THOUGHTS

I read your feedback and take it all into consideration! I've done these changes:

  • Achievements are back
  • Gun no longer deteriorates (lose ammo) if you didn't shoot any bullets in a room
  • Speed boost is disabled near spikes to prevent taking unwanted damage
  • Made enemies' toxic more visible
  • Sausage rooms no longer have spikes at the start
  • Removed unused music files to decrease game's file size


[h2]ABOUT GUN SWAPPING[/h2]
This is by far the most requested feature and I am considering adding it in due to a lot of people telling me they dislike the current system.

Swapping guns used to be possible, but I took it out due to it leading to a strat where gun ammo would be saved for boss and the gun would barely get used most of the time which I found to be very boring gameplay.

I brainstormed about it a lot and tried to find a way to make it more interesting and the end result was the current system which I was quite happy with. I felt it forced the player to use a different gun to spice up the gameplay a bit. There also is risk/reward involved as sometimes a gun can be lethal with your current build and sometimes it can be sucky. I felt like the times when you got a weak gun would bring a moment to the game, where you'd have to push through the bad moment and try to survive until you soon get rid of it. And when you get a good gun, you'd try your best to keep it with you for as long as possible and face intense moments where you try real hard to find ways to restore the gun to make you not lose it before it deteoriates.

This feature sadly seems to be widely disliked due to it feeling unfair :(

I'm trying to figure out what exactly could I improve about it. I can always just bring back the previous swapping system if there is no fix to make it more fair!
