Hello Escapists!

While everyone has been puzzling their pants off in the Tournament of Puzzles, the dev team has been gathering responses and working on a patch to address some player feedback so it is our pleasure to announce that Escape Academy v3.0.6.1 is now live across all platforms!

[h2]What's in the Patch?[/h2]

I'm so glad you asked!

1. Fixed Power Hungry Achievement bug where the counter was only going up in online play, works both in online and split screen now.
   
2. Made the laser splitter component on the Showman's Studio Laser Grid puzzle stationary for balance purposes.
   
3. Fixed bug where on rare occasions, the box of swords puzzle wouldn't open with a correct solution.
   
4. Fixed bug where if two puzzles of the same type spawned in the same chamber, upon completion of the first puzzle, the necessary item for the second puzzle would be removed from inventory.
   
5. Fixed rare save file corruption issue.
   
6. Applied collider and item spawn point polish.

Journey to Egypt’s Tomb of the First Escapist, the rain soaked and tech-infused Hackannery, or everyone’s favorite Escape theater The Showman’s Studio!

Face off against fellow Escapists in three new competitive modes Escape Race, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Scavenger Hunt, featuring all different mechanics!

And if you thought things couldn’t get wackier, Tournament of Puzzles features exciting new Power-Ups! Deploy distracting traps against your opponents or or gain an advantage by utilizing assists and secure the win.

More of a solo solver? Not a problem! Coach Yoach is happy to let any Escapist puzzle their way through the arenas in single player mode. See how fast you can conquer each course and compete for your best time!

Tomb of the First Escapist - Deep in the heart of Egypt where Escape began, puzzle your way through the tomb's secret passages and make sure you don’t become a permanent resident!

Hackannery - Abandoned fish cannery turned hacker enclave, this rain soaked pier is overloaded with technological and aquatic themed puzzle surprises.

The Showman’s Studio - Step right up and prepare to be puzzled! The biggest theater in all of Escape boasts a plethora of magical challenges to confront!

Face off against fellow Escapists in Escape Race, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Scavenger Hunt, all featuring brand new mechanics!

Escape Race - Show down against your friends in a puzzle race to the finish.
Tic-Tac-Toe - The classic connect three where the X’s and O’s are all locked up.
Scavenger Hunt - Search for trophies while you hunt for solutions to tricky puzzles.

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to spend just a moment to thank you for making 2023 such an awesome year for Escape Academy.

It saw the release of our second DLC, Escape Academy: Escape from the Past, and a plethora of playtests for our upcoming, free update Escape Academy: Tournament of Puzzles. Speaking of-- we have an update on the update for all of you!

Escape Academy: Tournament of Puzzles is targeting a late Q1 2024 release!

While we would have loved to share the update with you before the end of the year, our team decided that it needed more development and polish time to make it the most crazy, competitive, and clean experience possible!

[h2]What's in the Tournament of Puzzles Free Update?[/h2]

[h3]Three New Competitive Game Modes[/h3]
Escapists can go head to head in Escape Race, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Scavenger Hunt which all feature unique new mechanics!

Escape Race - First one to grab the trophy at the end of the track wins!

Tic-Tac-Toe - Solve puzzles to unlock X’s and O’s. Outsmart your opponent to get three-in-a-row!

Scavenger Hunt - Use your keen eye to find trophies hiding in plain sight. Collect more than your opponent to claim victory!

[h3]Massive New Arenas[/h3]
These new arenas are the biggest environments to date with their own set of unique puzzles and numerous distinct paths through each series of chambers.


[h3]Puzzle Power-Ups[/h3]
If game modes and arenas weren’t enough-- we’ve introduced Power-Ups that can give you a competitive edge OR strategically hinder your opponents progress during competitive matches.
