In order not to multiply conspiracy theories, we turned to a specialist — a real scientist who has devoted several years to studying the Inside Out, Dr. Carpetsky. He kindly agreed to give the interview. After we placed a bet for him in the bar sweepstakes.

— It was very wise of you to contact me on this issue. My colleagues would have a 97.5% chance of confusing and misinforming you, and with such a delicate structure as the Inside Out, it could cost you your life. So, what are you really interested in?
— Tell me, Doctor, what is this Inside Out?
— Well, since this is an interview, then the short answer is 86% unlikely to suit you.In fact, the Inside Out is a subspace that is likely to be mutually dependent on the Zone and very similar to it, but exists according to other fundamental laws.
— How did it even appear?
— There are two versions of the origin of the Inside Out: it was either created artificially in some way, or it is an unexpected result of entropy.
Eruptions in the Zone generated too much energy, some of which, unable to dissipate, interacted with the noosphere. The result of this synthesis was the birth of the Inside Out.
— They say the Inside Out changes everything it touches. How would you describe this phenomenon?

When the amount of information on both sides reaches a balance, “distortion” sets in as a condition. The object is now in superposition and is considered to be something suspended in the middle between two realities. A phantom!
— The phantoms? Are these the projections of people that can be found there?
— Perhaps they can be considered projections.… I am 72% sure of this. When the Inside Out replaces some original information of living objects, it remembers what it has displaced and projects its outlines in the place where it has overtaken. And since the distorted object contains both the original and the modified data, the phantoms manifest themselves in our Zone when the influence of the Inside Out is especially strong.
— It makes me feel uneasy. And why do they even appear?
— Perhaps this is because the original information of the object is pushed away from the one of the Inside Out and is drawn to its own kind. And when the border gets thinner, it finds a way out and is reflected here. But this phenomenon has hardly been studied, and I would not bet money on the truth of this hypothesis.
