Development Update #1 - Meet the Team

Hey everyone, and welcome to the first development update related to 🔪 Hitori Kakurenbo Online.

With the recent release of Early Access and the published roadmap showcasing multiple content updates, we believe that having transparent announcements that provide a deeper dive into our plans will help all of our players understand the progress and remain excited for what is to come.

In today's article, we would like to introduce the ambitious individuals behind our asymmetrical experience, along with a few descriptions for the founders team, so that everyone may learn more about their involvement!
🛠️ Juan Pablo Guzmán Fernández, Producer/Lead Programmer
Starting with the bass guitar lover that led to the creation of his band, “Anima Adversa", Juanpy is the enthusiastic producer and lead programmer behind Hitori Kakurenbo Online. From Granada, Spain, his admiration for Lucas Pope's development works such as "Papers, Please" and "Return of the Obra Dinn'' allows him to integrate his action plans and ensure that everyone has an amazing time when reaching all the exciting milestones the company has to offer. With the tools at his disposal, get ready to experience a new approach to the asymmetrical gameplay. Outside of work, you may find him enjoying his beloved moussaka while watching cozy YouTube videos on his TV. You go, Juanpy!
🎨 Marta Bermejo, Lead Environment Artist/2D artist
The artist, the canvas magician, the Bob Ross enjoyer? Introducing Marta, the lead environment artist and 2D artist who constantly pushes the aesthetic side of the Hitori, especially the 👻 spooooky environment that you are immersed into every round. With both her hometown (Madrid, Spain) and favorite food (Spanish omelet) being from the same parts of the world, Marta doesn’t stray away from studying the real meaning behind artistic creations. From some of her appreciated personalities such as the art director Raphael Lacoste to the video game designer Jeff Kaplan, the attention to detail she provides towards achieving new ideas will never waver. Maybe one day Marta will also go to Japan for a third visit and finally be brave enough to try natto!
🎨 Elena García, Lead Character Artist/2d Artist/Narrative
With the power to envision the appearance of the malevolent doll and the curious teenagers, Elena enters the fight as the lead character artist, together with her own experience in 2D art and especially narrative. From Salamanca, Spain, she grew up with iconic franchises such as Bioshock, which fueled her desire to understand more about the industry's background. She’s also responsible for the narrative parts behind Hitori Kakurenbo Online, making sure that you learn more than the game’s mechanics! In terms of admired creators, Neil Druckmann and Yoshifumi Hashimoto are at the top of the list. In her spare time, Elena loves feeling the adrenaline in racing video games, as well as having a cheesecake to reward herself with at the end of final laps.
