Steam Playtest Begins July 27 for Stampede: Racing Royale! Full Details
Get those engines revving, people. We’re delighted to confirm that the first Steam Playtest for Stampede: Racing Royale begins on July 27!
Prepare to race and battle against other players from across the globe in an early, work-in-progress version of our 60-player online kart racing battle royale experience. Get ahead of the game by trialling a taster selection of our upcoming maps and features! Yet to register your interest? Head to the Stampede: Racing Royale store page and hit the ‘Request Access’ button before July 27.

The Stampede Steam Playtest runs for five days, opening at 10am BST/2am PT/5am ET on July 27. During this time, players can experience our core gameplay experience: three-round matches in 60-player lobbies, where you contend in chaotic races and compete in explosive battles to avoid elimination and become the ultimate champion!
Eight race maps and one battle arena will feature in the playtest, along with 55 cosmetic items to discover for your character and kart, and basic player progression options. Plenty more maps, customisation options, features, and ways to play are currently in development.
Many aspects of the Steam Playtest build are not final, and players may experience issues with performance or gameplay. Once the Playtest begins, we’ll provide a form for players to submit any issues they come across, with all submissions received by our team for investigation.
As well as giving you an early taste of what our team at Sumo Leamington are creating, the goal of this Steam Playtest is to gather your feedback as we prepare Stampede: Racing Royale for its Early Access launch later this year. We want you to join us on this journey, providing your thoughts and ideas for Stampede.
