What makes the new IRON GUARD: Salvation special?
Hi! Today we want to share what makes IRON GUARD: Salvation different from the first part and why it has become even better.
[p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Players who have already tried the game on Meta Quest note that it takes everything good from the first game and makes it even better. The graphics and atmosphere are brighter and more vivid, the levels are much more detailed, and each map feels unique and memorable. There’s no sense of generic backdrops or filler.[/p][p]The balance has been completely reworked: now every turret matters and plays its role, each with strengths and weaknesses. The same goes for enemies – each has unique traits, forcing players to plan their defenses more carefully.[/p][p]We’ve also added the ability to move building platforms for turrets to any free spot on the map. This gives players more tactical freedom and allows for new defensive setups.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Heroes have now become a full-fledged part of the gameplay. Previously, they were only story characters, but now they can be controlled on the battlefield. Each has passive abilities and an ultimate skill. For some levels, it makes sense to choose different heroes depending on the situation.[/p][p]Another new feature is the player’s drone, which can be made autonomous with a special upgrade. This allows the player to focus entirely on strategy while the drone automatically attacks nearby enemies.[/p][p]By popular request, we added difficulty levels and a more convenient progress tracking system on the map. This helps players better follow their advancement and plan their playthroughs.[/p][p]The game now features bosses – special enemies that can’t be defeated by brute force alone. Each has unique mechanics and weaknesses that need to be understood and exploited. This adds depth and makes these encounters much more intense.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]Many players note that the game carries the spirit of classic RTS. This comes through in the visuals, music, and voice acting. At the same time, we kept the atmosphere of the first part and added many secrets and easter eggs to make exploration more rewarding.[/p][p]We often hear that the gameplay is incredibly addictive, and our stats confirm that players spend a lot of time in the game. Even those who usually don’t like Tower Defense admit that IRON GUARD: Salvation feels different to them. Many actively compete for leaderboard spots, constantly finding new ways to score higher.[/p][p]It’s especially important to us that players value our feedback loop. We strive to respond to every review and have already implemented many of their suggestions in patches. In turn, players actively help us polish and improve the game, and we are very grateful for that.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]As we mentioned before, in October we’ll be focusing on the SteamVR version and preparing a demo for the Next Fest. We’ll be very happy if you add the game to your wishlist and join the discussion on our Discord or Steam forum.[/p][p][/p][p]Add to wishlist[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your support![/p]
