πŸ“Š Beastie Usage Stats!
As has become tradition, we've collected a ton of data on Beastie usage during this event and we're happy to share that data with you for further investigation!
> Check out the STATS here!
Feels like coming home - a lot of the top-used Beasties are familiar staples at this point like Bongus, Bandicraft, Hopra and Lunaptra. But there are some surprise hits just below that... Fetcham is one of the top-used Beasties, beating out Servace for perhaps the first time! And if you treat each unique combination of Beastie and trait as a separate Beastie (which we typically do for balance analysis), Mistic with the Intangible trait is actually a single most used one, with a surprising bump in popularity since previous Bashes. Perhaps most exciting of all is seeing Trat in the top 10 usage for the first time... the community hero finally has a PvP use case and it's heartwarming to see.

Looking lower on the list and at the top 50% usage, it looks like Magpike, Musselbound, Pladion and Deluja are some of the most slept-on Beasties right now. All of them didn't see a ton of usage in general, but were quite prevalnt on higher-ranked teams.

There's still lots to discover in the new meta - it feels like players are still finding new combinations and strategies every day. We'll be keeping an eye on how things shift in the Bashes to come!
πŸ™‡ Thank you!!!
DOG vs CAT vs BIRD Bash - Final Results and Stats!

This weekend we held a BIGMOON BASH featuring teams Dog, Cat and Bird! Coaches had to use one of theme Beasties on their team (Woollie/Fetcham, Servitt/Servace or Rookee/Garood) and their individual results were tallied up to determine which Beastie family would reign supreme. So, who was the Bash Champion this time around?
πŸ† Final Results!
Team DOGS was the winner! Woollie and Fetcham were able to narrowly win both the popularity contest AND in the on-field sports shenanigans. A most impressive result, to be sure! A hearty congratulations to all players who participated this time- Team Cat and Team Bird were SO close!

Now let's take a look at the coaches who scored highest this time around!

The median Bash Score this time was 1976. It's higher than before, which I think goes to show just how even many of the matchups were this time around - even the most top-ranked coaches took at least a couple losses.

Speaking of; a huge congratulations to Arc Tech, who once again took two spots on the leaderboard, this time claiming 1st place and 3rd! Other coaches will need to step up our game... at this rate, by 2027 we'll just be listing 20 Arc Tech alt accounts for every Bash result...
πŸ“Š Beastie Usage Stats!

> Check out the STATS here!
As usual, we'll be taking note of the stats and assessing what needs some rebalancing as we go forward to future balance patches. I intentionally decided to shake the typical schedule up this time by having a silly themed bash just after our most recent huge balance patch; we wanted to showcase some of the cool new animation that just got added, and also give our sicko players more time to experiment and explore the new meta before we do a full-on open bash. At this early stage, every Beastie looks VERY close in power level, presumably because players haven't found the biggest exploits... yet!

The only thing I want to add here... can I even say it? What happened to Riplash?! Last Bash, they were so overused and reviled that we had to ban them from participating. Now that they're legal again, nobody wants to use them anymore? I know we tweaked them a bit, but they're still quite good, you know...
πŸ™‡ Thank you!!!
It's all the dedicated and creative players who make these events a huge blast to play in every time! And I know exploration of this new balance meta has only just begun. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next Bash!
Note: Balance Changes are imminent!
As of this posting, we have experimental balance changes live and available for testing in the game's experimental branch on PC. These changes will migrate to the game's main build as part of our next major Milestone Update on Saturday, September 13 at roughly 8AM PST. Aside from balance changes, that update will include a bunch of new animation and content, so please look forward to it!

If you're dreaming up a new team for this Bash, I recommend you consider the upcoming changes! They are mostly small tweaks and anything you build now will likely work just as well in the next patch, but a few things are changing you may want to take into account, including alterations to common plays such as Dig and modifications to universal game mechanics, most notably Blocking.
