Morbid Metal is out now in Early Access!

Hello Morbid Metal fans,

Today marks a milestone we’ve been dreaming about for a very long time:
Morbid Metal is officially out in Early Access on Steam, starting at approximately €13.50 / $13.50 thanks to a temporary discount (don’t wait too long)!

Releasing a game in Early Access is probably always emotional.

Releasing a game for the first time, after years of work, is hard to put into words. Seeing the game finally land in your hands is both stressful (not to say terrifying), surreal and incredibly exciting for our entire team.

This project has been in development for years, from early prototypes and demos to the first public tests many of you played long before Morbid Metal even had its final name. Some of you have been here since the very beginning, supporting what started as a one‑person project and slowly grew into the team effort you’re discovering today.

[h2]What Is Morbid Metal? [/h2]
If you’re joining us for the first time, here’s the essence of the game.

Morbid Metal is a fast‑paced action roguelite built around a unique shapeshifting system. You control a squad of characters and can switch between them instantly during combat, chaining abilities into fluid, stylish combos.

Each character brings:
  • Their own combat style
  • Unique abilities
  • Special skills to unlock
  • A distinct personality and visual identity

Levels are semi‑procedural, blending handcrafted arenas with dynamic layouts across multiple biomes filled with varied enemies and challenges. Every run is an opportunity to experiment, discover new synergies, and push your mastery further.

Morbid Metal demands precision, speed, and raw power — from both you and your PC. Ensure your system is ready to keep up with every slash, shift, and surge of combat.

[h3]Core Gameplay Content [/h3]

3 playable characters, each offering distinct combat identities that open more combos' possibilities and allow players to tailor their playstyle:
  • Flux, specialized in high single‑target damage
  • Ekku, focused on multi‑target attacks
  • Vekta, excelling in ranged combat


The Void: the tutorial area for first‑time players, later becoming the home of the Training Area and the Hub for meta‑progression.

Emporium (mid‑run shop): a safe harbor away from intense combat where players can spend their hard‑earned resources on various boosts.

Operator’s Trial: an ultimate challenge where players’ skills are put to the test. Success is rewarded generously.

Semi‑procedurally generated biomes:

Biome 1: Sublime Garden with beautiful vistas and nature. A millennium of neglect has eroded the landscape.

Biome 2: Steel Sanctuary, a fractured, deadlier cityscape of towering steel and rusted ambition.
