Frozen April News

Hello, this is AJ, the designer and developer behind FFN: EVE.

Updates for FFN: EVE may resume within the next two months (or, if things go well, within three weeks).

Honestly, my neighbors and I thought our issues would have been resolved a month ago, but things actually got worse.

What I can tell you for sure is that by the start of this summer, a huge six- to seven-month-long ordeal will come to an end. To be honest, there is a very small chance that things could turn out worse than they are now. If that happens, I might not be able to continue making games. However, there is a high probability that we will overcome this, thanks to the strong and kind neighbors from the faraway city, just like Rose, John, and Jane once helped out Huckletwain. So please, do not worry too much.

I might explain more later, but even though I have not been able to work on the FFN Universe for five months, that time was not wasted. I learned many important things that will help not just in life, but also in design techniques, and the creation of the FFN Universe.

Anyway, if everything ends on a happy note, I will be able to start working on the FFN Universe again. We had prepared a lot of festive content for last winter, but we really did not anticipate something this big happening. So, if I can return to work, you will likely see small updates released throughout the rest of the year, rather than major new content. (We are just about seven months away from 2026!) These updates might include improving UX design to be kinder to new survivors, fixing bugs that cause headaches, and making Huckletwain feel more lively.

Of course, a new village and new enemies have also been waiting for you (for a long time).

(And if I can make games again,) we are also planning to release a small new project that we have been working on since last year.

I hope I can bring you better news next time. I really have so many stories I want to share with you all.

Stay healthy, stay calm, and stay strong. Thank you so much, as always.

With gratitude,
AJ
