Kolguyev, an upcoming terrain for Arma Reforger, and a free addition for the community! It's a familiar name for long-time Arma veterans, now being brought back with many modern improvements. Weâve been hard at work bringing this unique island to life. And yes... itâs looking
very good. Keeping all the spirit of its predecessor, but reimagined in the Enfusion engine.[/p][p]More than that, weâre taking our time to make sure this island isnât just a backdrop, but a fully integrated terrain that supports diverse scenarios and game modes. Today, we wanted to share a few glimpses of whatâs bubbling beneath the surface, both literally and figuratively.[/p][p][/p][h2]What's New[/h2][h3]Autumn Breeze[/h3][p]One of the first things youâll notice about Kolguyev is its unique biome. It's a big shift from Everonâs lush, summer greenery. In an entirely new season, the island leans into a stark tone with its pine forests and barren mountain slopes. Expect custom Autumn-specific vegetation sets, from skeletal trees to dried-out grasses, along with a new weather preset and an ambient soundscape to bring the atmosphere to life. Itâs coming together to create an immersive sandbox for players and terrain makers alike.[/p][p]

[/p][h3]Hidden Beauty[/h3][p]Beneath the islandâs dormant volcanic peak lies a network of bubbling hot springs, steaming fumaroles, and winding streams. While there is a lot to explore in Kolguyevâs volcanic landscape, these geothermal features bring a cold, rugged character to the mostly abandoned taiga terrain. [/p][p]

[/p][h3]Coal Mining[/h3][p]The island's industrial past plays a significant role in its layout and story. Scattered across the terrain are long-abandoned coal mines. Cranes, rail tracks, and conveyor infrastructure leave behind a once-thriving operation that ferried coal to waiting transport ships. Now, these industrial remnants offer great opportunities for unique gameplay or simply exploring the remains of a forgotten era. Who knows... You might even venture to find some interesting
underground secrets.[/p][p]

[/p][h3]Additional Content[/h3][p]While the terrain itself is shaping up to be stunning, we also want to offer more than just splendid views. When Kolguyev is released, players can look forward to their favorite official game modes and maybe even something new, but more on that in the future. Modders and mission makers will also get a set of brand new assets to enjoy, including custom rocks, vegetation, buildings, and more to bring to their own creations.[/p][p]
