Hey Giants!

The new free update is here to let chaos reign in the world of Reus 2. To celebrate the launch of the DLC, we’re having a sale on the main game with a 35% discount, 10% on the DLC & 10% on the Supporter Pack until January 27th!

The full Patch Notes can be found at the end of this Steam News but here is a list of the Major additions coming with this Update:

  • Experience the godly powers with the new natural disaster abilities; from the Tsunami to the Wildfire, every element can turn into the most destructive weapon in the hands of the Giants!



  • Discover the new relationships that can be built between cities where their greatest creations can be traded peacefully through cultural exchanges… Or can attract jealousy and conflicts to steal these resources!

  • Giants are also part of the picture as humans can now build temples in their honor if the Giants are to their liking or, on the contrary, try to hunt them down if they are no longer fond of them;
  • For a more peaceful planet, you may choose the Pacifism mode at the beginning of your planet creation that will disable any military events from occurring or on the contrary, try out the Event Intensity mode to choose the pace of the relationship development and the trigger of in-game events;
  • The game now supports the Russian and Ukrainian languages;

[h3]Patch Notes v.1.5.0:[/h3]

NEW:
  • Cities now develop relationships with each other
    • Likes and dislikes are determined by a new trait system for leaders.
    • Leaders that like other leaders may do cultural exchanges
    • Leaders that hate other leaders may send out armies to go to war and won’t initiate new trades.
    • In case of war, the aggressor can steal resources from the defender, even to a net benefit for the planet. If you help the defender, they can gain Mystery for this.
  • Cities now develop relationships with the giants
    • Action and inaction towards cities impact their giant likes and dislikes.
    • Positive relationships grant boons
    • Negative relationships may lead to them sending out giant hunters
  • Each giant now has its own disaster ability that wreaks havoc on all humans and cities in an area.
    • Ocean Giant: Tsunami
    • Forest Giant: Tornado
    • Savannah Giant: Wildfire
    • Frost Giant: Blizzard
    • Swamp Giant: Bog
    • Rock Giant: Earthquake
  • Game-over is now possible. When one of your giants is killed, you withdraw from the planet.
  • Added planet start parameters:

    • Event Intensity: determines how fast relationships develop and events trigger.
    • Pacifism mode: disables any military events from occurring.
CHANGES:
  • Planets with planet-dooming endings may no longer be revisited.
  • Profile level can now increase beyond level 14 based on installed DLC.
  • Added ‘Load Most Recent’ button in escape menu. Clarified that ‘Quick Load’ always loads the save made with ‘Quick Save’.
BALANCE:
  • Diplomat Emblem no longer gives science.
  • Red-backed Vole and Caribou have new Symbioses to match the design better
  • Lion percentage cap removed, doubled the power
  • Shipwreck correctly has deep
  • Maple Tree gives correct value
  • Falcon scaler up from 0.25 to 0.35
  • Changed Platinum
  • Goose max food from 100 to 120, also gives +1 bio
  • Massively improved Desert Oil: from 15 science and wealth to 50 science and wealth per plant
  • Doubled the power of Lychee, added extra Fruit tag
  • Doubled the power of Zinc, added extra element tag
  • Cobalt power up from 15 to 40 per geo on the planet
  • Improved the Apothecary, Animal Breeder, and Blast Furnace
  • Dromedary camel power up to +25 and +15% from +15 and +10% food
FIXES:
  • Fixed user profile renaming not always being saved.
  • Fixed issue where newly placed biotics wouldn’t always give resource particle feedback
  • Fixed an exploit for bonus Eon usage
  • Removed Megafauna tag for being redundant. Most of them got Titan back for it.
  • Fixed some text.
  • Fixed you unlocking Ice Age Biotica without Ice Age.
  • Fixed challenges picking Ice Age content without Ice Age.
  • Improved tooltips all around with Likes and dislikes
  • Improved clarity of damaging abilities.
  • Fixed wrong targeting in Calamity Chest text
  • Fixed Poet's first emblem
  • Fixed rock giant being everywhere in your collection screen
  • Fixed war not updating goals
  • Fixed healthbar direction
  • Fixed flag movement during rowing.
  • Fixed issues in Rocket Launch cinematic
  • Fixed secondary portrait in notifications responding to click
IMPROVED:
  • Made some big improvements to the New Game UI!
  • More clear distinction between offensive and defensive giant hunters
  • Improved feedback on Turning Point DLC availability
  • Project Art
  • Clear salient feedback when giants are being attacked.
  • Giants now also heal out of combat.
