Devlog #9 - Co-op explained
Hey Catventurers! 🐱💥
We know many of you might enjoy taking on Ultra Mega Cats solo — customizing your heroes, unlocking new Coalitions, and discovering powerful builds. And yes, the game is absolutely playable and enjoyable in single-player mode.

But today, we want to spotlight the fur-ocious fun of co-op gameplay. Because sometimes, the only thing better than saving the world as a Mega Cat… is doing it with friends.
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Up to 3 Players Online Co-op
Grab up to two friends and dive into chaotic, cat-fueled action together! Every session supports up to three players. Whether you're coordinating strategies or just unleashing mayhem, co-op adds a whole new layer of excitement (and yarnballs) to every run.
🧪 Mix and Match Your Squad
Want to run a trio of BB-Kats? Go for it. Three Clints? Why not. Any combination of characters is fair game — experiment with your favorite setups and discover unexpected synergies between your feline fighters.
🧠 Team-Based Tactics (and Shenanigans)
Our heroes have abilities that complement each other beautifully in co-op. A few examples:

Shielded Stealth: Hide Kagero behind BB-Kat’s sturdy shield, letting her strike safely from the shadows.

Focus Fire Bait: Let Clint soak up enemy attention while BB-Kat unleashes Yarnball chaos from the flank.

These are just a taste — Ultra Mega Cats is full of creative combos waiting to be discovered.
🐾 Coalitions That Shine in Co-op
Coalitions are a key part of progression in Ultra Mega Cats, and some shine even brighter with a full team. Check out these co-op-ready Coalition abilities:

Cheetah’s Aura of Grace
Deploys a banner with a speed-boosting aura. The higher the rarity, the bigger the boost — and it affects your whole team.

Jaguar’s Paws of Rage
With epic rarity, this skill spawns milk bottles that any friendly cat can grab. Collect one, and you reset all cooldowns for everyone.

Tiger’s Ring of Blood
Bleed your enemies en masse with one cat, then tag in a teammate to finish them off in a frenzy of claws and coordination.
🧩 The Combo Potential is Off the Charts
Beyond Hero skills and Coalition powers, there are MODS, vending machine upgrades, and more — all of which can be shared or synergized in co-op runs. And remember: the more cats in the fight, the tougher the enemies become. So teamwork (and clever builds) are key!

Whether you're a lone cat warrior or part of a synchronized squad of furballs, we can’t wait to see the wild strategies and hilarious moments you’ll come up with.
