11/22 - Fast Travel and auto saves hotfix

[p]Hey Swordmasters,[/p][p][/p][p]We released a hot fix which fixed an issue with Fast Travel, and moved the auto-save from after opening a Grand Key rather than defeating a boss. [/p][p]Here are the full patch notes.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with Fast Travel not unlocking the regions on existing save files, even when unlocking these rooms[/p]

12/18 Patch Notes: Fast Travel

Fast Travel Unlocked![/h2][p][/p][p]We have been taking in the feedback from you guys and Jack, the solo developer on GIGASWORD, is playing Santa by giving us fast travel this patch! There are a couple other fixes in this as well, that you can read about below![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Patch Notes[/h2]

  • [p]Fixed issue with Ollestasia's clash attack[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a looping boss music issue[/p]
  • [p]Certain room connections have been fixed[/p]
  • [p]Can no longer use the right joystick (freecam/swordcam) to float in the air[/p]
  • [p]Certain sound effects are now correctly impacted by the set sound volume[/p]
  • [p]The same bunny cannot be fed more than one carrot[/p]
  • [p]Buried Depths' enemy now correctly creates a recovery chest[/p]
  • [p]Fixed "frozen sword deletion" issue[/p]
  • [p]The ice enemy's melee hitbox is now thinner[/p]
  • [p]The area title upon entering High Wall is now correct[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue on Xbox that prompted the message of “Temporary network problem” and didn’t allow users to play online

[p]Hey Swordmasters[/p][p][/p][p]We have released a new patch which fixes mana statue text box, fruit plant maxlength and more! Here are the full patch notes if you would like to read them![/p][p][/p][h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]
  • [p]Fixed the Mana Statue textbox issue[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Fruit Plant maxlength issue[/p]
  • [p]Fixed One Way Doors not opening on the other side exit before saving[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Red/Blue Block softlock in Lunarium[/p]
  • [p]The ore chest now disappears properly if you leave room mid-animation[/p]
  • [p]Changed the structure of a room in the High Wall to avoid softlock[/p]
  • [p]Bunnies can no longer be fed more than once[/p]
  • [p]The credits screen shows a max of 30 feathers, not 25[/p]
  • [p]Fixed map percentage calculation[/p]

First Week Recap!

[p]Hi Giga-Friends!

GIGASWORD has been out for a week now, and the response has been amazing. It’s been such a pleasure watching you guys solve puzzles, react to cutscenes, and just generally have a great time with the finished game.

That being said, there have been plenty of bugs along the way, and I wanted to take a moment to address some of the most popular issues and requests. The TL,DR here is this: I’m working hard to patch things everyday, so if you come across anything that seems off, rest assured it’ll be fixed soon!

Okay, so what’s next for GIGASWORD? Let’s take a look:

Fast Travel: You wanted it, so you’re gettin’ it! Fast Travel was something I always wanted to add, but just didn’t have time to implement before release. I’m hoping to get it working by next week!

Pins on the Map Screen: This has been another popular request I’ve seen from you guys, and it’s a fantastic idea; especially with how secret-heavy this game is. This feature might take me a while to implement, but I’ll start working on it immediately.

Missing Ore Chest: One of GIGASWORD’s biggest issues is that your Ore Chest doesn’t always spawn when you die. On behalf of everyone who has lost substantial amounts of ore: you have my deepest apologies. This issue should be fixed on Steam now, but I’ll be closely monitoring the bug reports to make sure it doesn't crop back up.

In summary, GIGASWORD is getting more and more stable with every passing day. Thank you guys so much for all your detailed bug reports, it really helps a ton! There’s still plenty of exciting things to come in the near future, so I hope you’re all as stoked as I am!
