Update 1.44

  • Attempted to fix the negative gold/xp bug

  • Fixed bug where Things weren’t using description for image gen (known issue: Things currently use the “items” prefix)

Crafting Overhaul

Hello, I am excited about this update because this kind of AI-generated crafting has been simmering in my head for a few years now.

Crafting Overhaul:
- You can now build “things” as well as use Essence of Fabrication to specify your own desired thing
- You can build specific items using Essence of Fabrication
- There is now an entirely new system of crafting based on recursively AI-generated recipes.
- To browse the new crafting recipes, click the right tab of a crafting station.
- Each item will either be “craftable” or a “raw resource”
- The older “free-form” crafting is still available in the left-side tab of each crafting station.

Please note there are a large number of new features/changes in this update, which could be bugged. If you would like a safer build, opt into the "older build" in steam settings.

Fixes

- Fixed bug where using open-ended text with no essence of opportunity caused the game to get stuck
- Fixed a couple bugs with the new UI tabs system including where the “Things” tab wouldn’t display anything
- Fixed issue where hovering over location or enemy text wouldn’t present tooltip
- Fixed some NPC situations which would corrupt saves and added a check to be more tolerant of loading these corrupted saves

Things update

Things: There is new category of things called… Things.
- Each thing *could* be a resource node or crafting station depending on the AI’s sentiments
- Tentative: This paves the way for building things as well as AI-generated crafting recipe trees.

UI Overhaul: Added the “all” tab and “things” tab, moved places/navigation to the middle
Fixed Stable Horde breakage: Stable Horde changed their output format to a url instead of base64 image. I have updated the code to take the new format.

small update

Slightly overhauled event checks for charm enemy, new character, and NPC opinion decrease.
Reinstating salvaging, paving the way for building materials hopefully (experimental).
