- Added support for Gamepad Trigger-buttons (can be bound to shooting)
- improved: Some wall-explosives could be hard to place
- fixed: on the Options > Input screen moving the mouse over new buttons while changing keys crashed game
- fixed: Rare crash on final Dr OozeBrain mission
Info
First of all: Thanks for checking out Regulators! And I'm very glad most people are liking it. It's obviously not possible to create a game that is to everybody's taste! - But it's a good feeling to see people grasping what I tried to create here.

Luckily there have, so far, been very few issues - BIG thanks to the Beta testing squad on the Orangepixel Discord We had a lot of issues and problems fixed over the last few weeks prior to release, and it helped a lot obviously!

So this v1.0.1 comes with just a few tiny changes that most people wouldn't even run into, but it's good to have them fixed and end up with an ever more solid game to build future updates on ;)

Don't forget to drop a review once you played the game, it will help with Steam showing the game to more people that might actually enjoy this!

Thanks again for the support!

Lead a team of mercenaries in the tactical top-down shooter Regulators out now

Originally called Regulator City and now just Regulators, it's the latest action game from indie developer Orangepixel known for the likes of Gunslugs, Heroes of Loot, Residual and more.

Regulators is RELEASED!

It's finally here: Regulators v1.0.0 is released.

Hey I'm Pascal from OrangePixel, and I'm very pleased to have you check out my new game Regulators. It's been a long road to get the game to both a releasable state but also a GOOD state, I'm really proud of how this game turned out and actually still enjoy grabbing a recruit and going into a couple of missions of stealthy sneaking around and of course unloading my gun when all the stealth goes out the window!

I hope you'll enjoy the game! If you like top-down shooters, and you enjoy some stealth/sneaking every now and then, then I'm sure you can appreciate all the features that came together to create Regulators!

Don't forget to also grab a friend and play the local Co-Op mode.. it's a joy to sneak around together!
Running into Issues?
If you run into any problem, let me know either on the Discord, by mail (support at orangepixel.net) or try the Steam discussion boards. I'll try to stay on top of everything, but there's often a lot coming in during the first few days/weeks of launching a game - and it can sometimes be hard to track !

In any case: I always fix problems where I can in all my games, and am supporting them long-term with quality of life updates. So don't worry, IF there are problems, I'll squash them over time!
Go play
So, go enjoy the game! Regulate that city, and let me know if/when you defeat Dr. Ooze Brain!

Final DEMO and BETA access

Grab the latest DEMO build, it's now the final pre-release demo and gives you the perfect impression of what this game will have to offer once it launches on May 21st 2025.
Beta Test
While the DEMO is freely available to everyone who wants to check out the game, I'm also running a more closed Beta test on the Orangepixel Discord. This is to do some stress testing and find any remaining "obvious" bugs and issues before the game launches. I'm excited! :)
What's next
The launch is now set in stone and will happen on May 21st - so I will be ironing out the final issues, prepare a nice little video Stream for the top of the Steam page, and I'll finally get this game out the door, it's been a long ride! Make sure to check out the Orangepixel YouTube channel if you want to see some of the many changes and improvements that have been made in the recent final stretch.

Can't wait for you guys to play the full game!

COOP Mode and a brand new experience

Regulators! Welcome to the fresh new DEMO for Regulator City: version 0.0.66
New in this version
- Host of new Enemy types like Spittin Blog, Medooza, Scorpions, Spiders, and Ooze worms
- New mission type: Hacking the mainframe - requiring you to defend your grounds for a couple of seconds
- Shiny new interface to unify the whole game
- Medooza-Nest missions (be quiet!)
- Local COOP mode ( mostly tested, but things can go crazy at times )
What's next
This build now brings a complete new experience both in the shape of the standard single player mission, but also by adding a sample (test) of the local COOP mode.

Even though the version number just increased a bit, there are so many new things crammed in this demo that you should really just go and play it and see what the final Regulator City experience will be about as I'm now at the final stretch of development and closing in on a full release. (YAY!)

I'm entering the last phase of development, and a lot of that work will mean creating level-maps, adding a couple of features I still have on my wish-list (working on Gass-masks for Ooze-spore area's).

And I will be doing a proper Beta-test call over on the Orangepixel Discord (see the right-side column on the store page) in a few weeks/months from now to make sure the game is as bug-free as possible when it releases!

If you want to play this game on your stream/youtube/twitch make sure to reach out for a Steam Playtest key and we'll talk.
