LoG Devs Q&A🔥 Solium Infernum Demo LIVE at NF!

Hello again Fiends!

[h3]If you (somehow) haven't yet heard: we're bringing a Solium Infernum Demo to our upcoming Steam Next Fest! [/h3]

We've explored a lot of information in our previous Event, but this Event is for our Fireside Q&A!

We are so, so excited to show off the improvements we've made after Playtesting. Your voices have been fundamental in the iterations of SI, and shaping how the game looks and feels so far!

There are a few important things to note:
  • The Next Fest Demo is planned to be Singleplayer.
  • The usual caveat that is: there will be some features that are not yet fully implemented, or that have been adjusted because of the parameters of the Demo itself.

[h3]In addition, to celebrate Next Fest, we're hosting two very exciting streams with our Dev Team.. [/h3]

In celebration of being able to show off what we've been working on so far, the Devs here at League of Geeks plan to host TWO streams that you're welcome to attend!

The first is our Let's Play featuring Trent (Studio Director, Co-Founder of LoG) and Chan (Community Manager), which will be LIVE right here on Steam!

And we're sure that you'll have a whole host of questions after getting your hands on the Demo, so the second stream is another Solium Infernum Fireside with Ty (Game Director, Co-Founder), Anthony (Principal Game Designer) and Chan (Community Manager)!

You can check the stream in YOUR time and set a reminder for the Fireside Q&A right here in this Event post, on the right hand side of Steam's interface!

New Gameplay Reveal - 9 Minutes of Hell

Hello again, Archfiends.

In reimagining a game such as Solium Infernum, the challenge is sometimes to explain the deeper intricacies of Hell.

A strategy game as twisted and relentless as the one we are building (and the one we were originally inspired by!) can sometimes be a complex thing to communicate in a short gameplay trailer form, especially the kinds of trailers that often do well online.

We are incredibly hopeful that we can bring the concept of Solium Infernum to the wider strategy fanbase, and perhaps in turn new players that may not have ever considered a Grand Strategy game before.

This video is a look into some of the things that make Solium Infernum unique to all others. As fans of the original, you will no doubt understand intimately these points of difference - and our hope is that this can help explain some of the intrigue of the Infernal Throne to others. Our hope is that if you enjoyed it, that you share it with a friend who might also be interested. We're an indie studio trying to take on Hell itself, and we would welcome any allies willing to help us execute our grand plan.

We cannot wait to bring our demo of the single player version to players during Next Fest (just over a week now), and we hope your scheming and plotting comes to fruition.

We're Part of Strategy Fest! 🔥 Fireside Dev Q&A Stream

As part of the upcoming Strategy Fest, we're very excited to be debuting the most recent build of Solium Infernum. This is the first time that the game has been seen publicly since Technical Preview 1! And for those part of that cohort, we hope that you'll be delighted by the changes.

Part of this Fireside Dev Q&A will be Anthony, our Principal Game Designer, and Chan, our Community Manager.

We plan to cover off on Game Design in general, the improvements and thoughts behind our newest iteration of Solium Infernum, and what you can expect into the future!

Step into the abyssal realms of Hell once more, brave wanderer, for here, amidst the darkest recesses of Hell, another enigmatic Archfiend has emerged from the shadows to seize your attention...

Were you among the curious souls who traversed the veiled domains of Empyria, domain of the Fairest of the Fallen, Andromalius? Or perchance, have your footsteps only now echoed through this accursed hall?

Origin aside, heed some advice.

In this theatre of malevolence, don’t cast your eyes upon the Archfiends whose voices purr in the ear of their puppets, or those whose opulent displays dazzle like gold and gemstones. The true art of manipulation often flourishes in ritual, of shredding away lies to reveal the bare truth beneath.

Her name is a clandestine whisper, a snake through the corridors of damnation. A name that strikes both awe and trepidation in her magnitude. Old as the Tyrant’s mythos itself, she is said to have walked alongside the first man.

She who will not be quieted nor subdued, first wife of Adam, tossed below in disregard, marked as “night monster”, “screeching owl”, “she-demon”.

She is the harbinger of fury, the festering of a forgotten wound, the righteousness of retribution.

She is the Scorned.

Welcome, none other than …



The Scorned will be a favorite for those who enjoy rituals.

Lilith is a master of sorcery, seeking to profit off the accumulation of potent knowledge. To play Lilith is to use shadowy rituals to spy on unsuspecting enemies, then make strategic moves to exploit these weaknesses.

Lilith is the embodiment of the cunning underdog, an Archfiend who thrives amidst the darkness, driven by a burning desire for retribution and power. Lilith will be often utilized by players for her dynamic playstyle and capacity to dance on the precipice of shadow and light, wielding cunning and charisma with equal mastery.

Summoning Lilith

Lilith was initially modeled around a classic evil sorceress, like Disney’s Malificent. Initial concepts were hopeful but didn’t quite capture the pure contempt and savagery that Lilith should hold. So … what if her bitterness literally had twisted her? Physically?

In ancient Hebrew-language texts, there’s a reference to Lilith as the ‘screeching owl’. That conjured up some interesting options. An owl is a night creature and predator … who stares into your soul with glowing eyes, out of the night. It made sense to have Lilith slowly consumed by the beast.

"So I just finished one of the coolest things I've ever created. This is Lilith, from the upcoming game Solium Infernum ... I partnered with League of Geeks to bring one of their Archfiends to life. Being a masochist for complicated design, of course I chose to create Lilith."
