Trade Bots: A Technical Analysis Simulation News

[p]Thanks to careful and thoughtful feedback from the community page, we're releasing this update addressing the following issues: [/p][p][/p][h3]YouTube Videos Open Externally[/h3][p]Due to changes in YouTube's embedding policy, videos no longer cleanly rendered in-game. (YouTube now severs embedding in electron apps). This was unsightly and distracting for players. We've now updated the game so that videos launch externally. (We were unable to find a solution that allowed us to preserve in-game embedding. [/p][p][/p][h3]Easy Mode (25% discounted upgrades)[/h3][p]A lot of players have given feedback that it takes too long to arrive at the late-game. All players now have the option of toggling on Easy Mode in the title menu. All upgrades are discounted 25% while milestones require 25% more net worth to reach. We're trying to figure how out many margin calls should be required before this feature is available, but for now it's unlocked immediately. [/p][p][/p][h3]Major Electron Upgrade[/h3][p]Requiring a sizable refactor, the game now uses the most recent version of electron allowing it to take advantage of webGPU protocols more effectively. The result is better performance (5-10% on our systems) and stability. [/p][p][/p][h3]Financial Correlation Sandbox[/h3][p]We've added a new milestone that we hope can help get players thinking about how different financial indicators work together. Reaching this milestone unlocks a website preview that acts as an interactive visual sandbox. Explore historical correlations among technical indicators and nudge their biases to see ripple effects across the broader financial landscape. Upload your own data for deeper insight. [p]Thank you all for your patience with the version 2.0 release. Some players reported issues that were extremely difficult to reproduce leading to a long delay in releasing a fix. I sincerely apologize for this - none of our windows machine could reproduce the error which I was convinced had something to do with save state upgrades to 2.0 but turns out had a different cause entirely. As a result, this turned into a bit of a wild goose chase on my part and a solution was found only through the help of two devoted players; Ernesto E. and Damien E. (the latter of whom deserves special recognition as it was his insight that led to the fix). [/p][p]Changes are listed below. • [p]Custom Trendlines: By request, you can now unlock the ability to draw your own trendlines in the campaign. [/p]
• [p]Sentiment Indicator: We have integrated a new indicator that is a measurement of news sentiment that is also accessible to bots[/p]
• [p]Updated Data -- consolidated for all modes through June 2025 (including intraday for crypto). [/p]
