Dev Blog: Trailers & Demos
Apologies for the radio silence, but we're back, baby! And this time, we've got a gameplay trailer for Walk of Life! Check it out, if you haven't already.

What a trailer! We could watch it again and again. And we have, actually. It's all part of the lengthy process of creating it inhouse. We're getting pretty sick of storyboards at this point.
But it's not all been storyboards and marketing: we've been hard at work at creating an actual game, too! Content is a very big part of any game that focuses on humor, and in No Time to Relax, weekend events were a large portion of the game's content.

At the beginning of every round, players drew a card that told them what had happened over the weekend, along with a bit of a change to some of their stats or cash. There wasn’t a lot of choice involved, and after seasoned players had read through all the cards, they usually skipped them altogether.
In Walk of Life, we’ve made some changes to these events. Namely, we want players to have a bit of agency in what we’re calling life events.

It's pretty simple, really. Instead of just reading the card, you'll be asked to make a choice. You won't know the exact outcome, but at least you'll get to have some say in whatever horrible event life is throwing at you.
How will you deal with the gang of stock brokers selling off-brand stock on the street corner? How will you react when some awful teenagers start heckling you for wearing your favorite jacket? You'll actually be able to make those choices very soon, because Walk of Life will be taking part in Steam Nextfest!

That's right, you'll be able to demo the game on Steam Nextfest starting June 9th! We're very excited to show off what we've been working on, and to get some of your feedback on how to make the game even better for our early access launch later this year!
We'll see you all at Nextfest, but until then:
