Dev Blog: Walk of Life Demo is Out!
[p]![]()
The Walk of Life demo is out now! Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Try it out yourself![/p][p]So why isn’t the demo featured in Nextfest, as we said it would be in our last blog? [/p][p]Well, after some navel-gazing we decided that the current state of the game isn't quite ready for such a large stage.[/p][p]That doesn’t mean we can’t give you all a bit of a peek behind the curtains and see how you like what we’ve got cooking so far. Feedback from our players will be a key ingredient in our final product, so don’t hesitate to shower us with your criticism.[/p]
So what's in the demo?
[p]The demo features seven short rounds, as opposed to the regular ten or twenty, to showcase some of the game’s systems and major locations. You can go through all of the core mechanics of the game, such as finding a job, getting an education, and furnishing your apartment to beat your friends at the endgame score table.[/p][p]If you’re familiar with No Time to Relax, a lot of this will feel familiar, although there are differences here and there, such as in the attribute system which has been completely overhauled.[/p][p]
[/p]
So what isn’t in the demo?
[p][/p][p]
[/p][p]There’s a ton of stuff that’s still on the stove. Better apartment options, higher tier jobs and education, new locations, and much more. We’ll be adding many of these features in over the next months, so you’ll hopefully be able to try them very soon.[/p][p]If you're interested in following the development progress, we recommend keeping an eye out on these blogs and joing our Discord, where we aim to have regularly scheduled play sessions with our community.[/p][p]Now stop reading this and give the demo a go![/p]
