Dev Blog: First Fixes and Tuneups

[p]Hello walkers![/p][p]No? Okay, I’ll stop trying to make “walkers” happen.[/p][p][/p][p]The gang at Porcelain Fortress is currently dealing with a snowstorm in Iceland. It's fine. Whatever. We like not being able to go anywhere.[/p][p]Hopefully you have all been having fun with Walk of Life so far. We’re aware that there have been some bugs of varying sizes, ranging from annoying to game breaking. The team has been hard at work trying to fix them over the last few days and we’ve think we’ve squashed the worst offenders.[/p][p]We’ve put in a couple of smaller patches where we made some minor tweaks alongside the bugfixes, including some changes to role scoring and adding animations to some of the taxidermied NPCs. Experimental mode has also been removed as it was creating more problems than it fixed. We’ll still keep some of the more experimental roles available but marked for you to try at your own risk.[/p][p][/p][p]The adventurer is playable right now, but will be getting a little facelift before we move it into the main roster. We’re aiming to drop the updated version onto the client alongside some fun new features very soon.[/p][p]That’s it for now! Swing by our Discord and see what's going on! Here are the changes if you missed them:

- Removed Experimental mode, it was causing more troubles than it solved.[/p][p]- Added animated NPCs in Bank and Clothing locations.[/p][p]- Balanced Workaholic and Hoarder Roles.[/p][p]- Mayor Edgar now makes feeding Crows free, but the crows get angry if you don't feed them.[/p][p]- Attribute costs for all works has been decreased.[/p][p]- End-Score for Work Level has been decreased.[/p][p]- End-Score for Educations has been decreased.[/p][p]- End-Score for Role Quests has been decreased.[/p][p]- Fixed a bug that could cause crashes if multiple games were played in a row.[/p][p]- Some Role states were not loading correctly, this has been fixed.[/p][p]- Fixed "For a Biblical Flood" achievement so it completes properly.[/p][p]- Fixed an inventory bug where you couldn't clean dirty potatoes if your inventory was full.[/p][p]- Fixed an inventory bug where you couldn't remove an item if your inventory was full.[/p][p]- Fixed a bug where buying two fishing poles and then selling one would not allow you to fish using the remaining one.[/p][p]- Emojis and popping in players no longer block clicks.[/p][p]- Rent no longer constantly increases, this was a feature we added last year and everybody forgot it was there...[/p][p]- Fixed a bug where the Adventurer would cause a crash after receiving a set amount of quests.[/p][p]- Voting for Edgar A. as the mayor no longer makes all actions in the game free, now only Feed the Crows is free...[/p][p]- Global Events now trigger properly in 30 round games.[/p]
