v0.4.3 Preview 2 Patch Notes

[h3]Fellow Adventurers:[/h3]
"The essence of shattered souls were concentrated into these scarlet shards, echoing memories of past glories." You wanted it, we got it!
Now there’s a Crystal Shard in each boss area, you can shatter it to re-challenge the boss. There’s no new reward after defeating the boss again currently, only the excitement and enjoyment of the fight itself. You can try different weapons and skills when fighting them, try out the most powerful and fun boss-slaying builds.

We've updated the v0.4.3 preview again, which is ready to be released now. In this version, we almost complete most of the features for v0.4.3, supporting French, Spanish, and Korean. The official update will be released very soon after this preview.

Fellow Adventurers of the Monastery:
We’re super psyched to announce that the Beta version of v0.4.3 is ready to be released. Over the past few weeks, we have done lots of organizing and optimizing based on player feedback. Also, we systematically sorted out our program and coding, which is very important for future chapter updates as well as MOD support.
At the same time, we have made adjustment on some broadly mentioned features, including sprint button and skippable dialog. To provide players a more straightforward experience, we added buttons for sprinting and assign a button to skip dialog. If you would like to skim through plot and get into combat faster, this function will be helpful. For people who prefer a more immersive playthrough, it won’t interfere with the current experience. It's worth noting that there is stamina consumption for sprinting, which is set as a method to prevent running pass all enemies.
We are still optimizing and polishing this version. If you're interested in this beta version, you can pull it up via steam's version switch. We hope you can have a try for yourselves and provide us with your valuable feedback.

[h3]New functions[/h3]
1. Added skippable dialog. When talking to an NPC you can hold down Trigger to quickly skip through current dialog.


2. Press Left Stick for sprinting (can be changed by controlling the stick)


3. Sprinting accumulate your balance bar, which could be restored when you stop. When your balance bar is higher than 80%, you can’t sprint.

4. Added button support for HP Reverb G2.

1. Readjusted gore effect, significantly reducing the performance burden when you hit an enemy.


2. Readjusted the piercing damage on certain enemies’ weak points


3. Fixed the issue of unrealistic blind spot with certain enemies’ line of sight.

  1. Fix the hand physics collision issue when attacking frozen enemies
  2. Fix the position deviation of gripping point and arrow nocking point of bows
  3. Added rope pull of lifts
  4. Corrected several typos
  5. Fix the path leading to the lift after the Black Knight fight
  6. Fix the audio of the Faithkeeper Sword's skill

Thank you for your support of Grimlord, we’ve received tons of enthusiastic and sincere feedback and suggestions in just 10 days following the release of Early Access version on Steam. We couldn’t be happier! We have also came up with a corresponding plan for fixing various issues in this relatively early stage of the game release, and step by step, we will make Grimlord the best version that it could be and offer you a more satisfactory experience!
We noticed that different VR headsets may have various experience when playing Grimlord , so we have adjusted the configuration of certain headsets in steamVR in this version to ensure a more comfortable experience. At the same time, we also launched the latest version of DEMO for players who have not yet purchased the game and offer you a taste of Grimlord’s prologue.

  3. Tweaked Faithkeeper sword’s skill CD from 30s to 8s

  1. Optimized some of the Black Knight’ attacks to make him more challenging
  2. Optimized the spear-wielding giant’s attacks and fixed some attack registration errors.
  3. Moved the dialogue UI and prompt UI slightly upward
  4. Optimize the Vive and Index controller lagging issues when using SteamVR. Making them follow your hand movement more closely.
  5. Optimize the VIVE controller angle
  6. Optimize and reduce the arm swing speed requirement for sprinting

  1. Fixed the issue where the Golem's materials won't drop upon defeat
  2. Fixed the collision issue of enemies’ shields stretched out player hands
  3. Fixed the animation glitch of which the spear-wielding giant gets stuck in one place, tweaked the 180-turn animation
  4. Widen the registering range of player hands when talking to Rheala and entering the talent tree
  5. Fixed the physical collision glitch of enemie hit by arrows
  6. Fixed the issue of potions won’t move toward your hands when picking them up in chest of the hub area
  7. Fixed the issue of long grips of swords cannot move toward your hands automatically when trying to pick them up
  8. Fixed the limb damage reduction error on the spear-wielding giant boss
