GRIMLORD v1.1.3 Hotfix2
Dear brave adventurers
We’re rolling out a second hotfix for v1.1.3 today, and we sincerely apologize for having to do so.

The most critical fix in this patch completely rescues the bow and crossbow shooting system, which had become almost entirely broken. The root cause traces back to the Halloween event: when we added explosive arrows, we introduced a new collision-detection method for all arrow-type projectiles. Unfortunately, this new system caused a severe regression—arrows would often deal zero damage or phase straight through enemies. It still “kind of” worked in rare edge cases, which is exactly why it slipped past our internal testing.

That was entirely our mistake, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration it caused everyone who loves archer builds.

A massive thank-you to our community: within hours of the patch going live, you flooded us with clear reproduction steps and video proof, allowing us to pinpoint and fix the issue in record time. Your reports are hands-down the fastest and most reliable way for us to catch what we miss, and we’re incredibly grateful.

We also warmly invite those who haven’t joined yet to hop into our Discord and official forums. The more brave adventurers we have there, the quicker we can spot and squash issues together—and the better GRIMLORD becomes for all of us.

Thank you for your patience, your passion, and for continuing this journey with us. We’ll keep working hard to earn that trust every day.

[p]Patch Notes[/p][p]Critical Fixes[/p]
 • [p]Necklace Pickup Save Issue: Picking up necklaces fails to save the unlock properly, resulting in necklace loss. Post-Fix: All lost necklaces will automatically return to their original drop locations, allowing players to pick them up again. We prioritized this fix to prevent greater player losses and confusion.[/p]
[p]Important Notes[/p]
 • [p]After the fix, necklaces placed in the pouch may duplicate. Duplicated necklaces will disappear upon re-entering the game. This issue does not affect normal gameplay, and we will address it in a future update as soon as possible.[/p]
[p]Changes[/p]
 • [p]Increased drop rate for Thanksgiving event Turkey Ranger's armor outfit.[/p]
[p]Bug Fixes[/p]
 • [p]Arrows incorrectly detecting air walls.[/p]
 • [p]Charged arrow attacks sometimes failing to explode, along with damaged arrow effects persisting, causing simultaneous explosions with the next explosive arrow.[/p]

GRIMLORD v1.1.3 Update & Thanksgiving Event
GRIMLORD v1.1.3 Update & Thanksgiving Event

[p][/p][p][/p]
Dear Brave Adventurers,
[p]We are delighted to bring you this special Thanksgiving event update! In this patch, we’re introducing a brand-new limited-time enemy: the Turkey Ranger. Hailing from a distant kingdom in the far west of the continent, these eccentric bounty hunters are known for their outlandish attire. For reasons still unknown, they have chosen to ally themselves with the Dark Cult. As seasoned hunters, they have a particular fondness for collecting rare and exotic materials. Defeat them, and their hard-earned treasures will be yours![/p][p]More good news: in celebration of the holiday, merchants throughout the world have launched a massive sale. Every item in the game is now available at 50% off. To further encourage trade, merchants have decided to forgive all past player transgressions. No matter your previous history, you can immediately resume trading with them. (Of course, stealing again will once more revoke your trading privileges.)[/p][p][/p][p]We have always listened closely followed community feedback. As a Souls-like title, Grimlord proudly upholds the genre’s tradition of strict, unforgiving punishment. That said, we’ve also heard from many players new to the genre that losing everything upon death can feel overwhelmingly discouraging. To address this, we are introducing a new necklace: Fragment of Yore. When equipped, it prevents you from losing all your Matter upon death and instead preserves a certain amount. We believe this will gently ease the early-game difficulty curve while preserving the core challenge. In addition, this update brings several long-requested quality-of-life improvements:[/p]
 • [p]The remaining potion capacity can now be clearly seen through the icon on the waist pack.[/p]
 • [p]Necklaces can now be stored in the belt pouch (many players previously believed this was a bug)[/p]
 • [p]When playing in seated mode, pushing the right thumbstick downward (or whichever stick you use for movement) will now make your character crouch[/p]
[p][/p][p]All of the above changes are direct responses to player suggestions and feedback shared in the community and reviews. While we cannot implement every request in a single update, please rest assured that we carefully consider every piece of feedback and will continue incorporating the best ideas into future patches.Thank you all for your continued love and support of Grimlord. Even though the game has been fully released for nearly a year, our passion for pushing the boundaries of virtual reality gaming remains as strong as ever. We will keep bringing Grimlord to new platforms, officially enable MOD support, and continue exploring the possibilities of multiplayer.[/p]
Detailed Patch Notes:

Events
[p]2025 Halloween event has ended (all earned costume blueprints are permanently retained)[/p][p]Thanksgiving event now live[/p]
Thanksgiving Event
[p]Added special enemy: Turkey Ranger[/p][p]Greatly increased drop rate of premium materials from event enemies[/p][p]Merchants forgive all past player debt once during the event[/p][p]All merchant items are 50% off during the event[/p]
New Content
[p]Added necklace “Fragment of Yore” – retains up to 3000 Matter upon death[/p][p]Necklaces and trinkets can now be stored in the belt pouch[/p][p]Potion quantity is now displayed in the belt pouch UI[/p][p]Added crouch function in seated mode (push movement stick downward)[/p]
Balance Adjustments
[p]Chapter 1 human enemies: HP reduced from 200 → 150[/p]
Bug Fixes
[p]Fixed Darkened Wallop skill registering damage multiple times[/p][p]Fixed Blizzard skill occasionally failing to apply damage correctly[/p][p]Thank you once again for your unwavering support of Grimlord![/p]
