Tears of Metal News

Tears of Metal will be at The Triple-i Initiative on April 10th!

We’ve been a bit quiet over here for the past couple of months! But we’ve been really active over on Discord, running waves of playtests to gather feedback from all of you and push the game in the best possible direction. Join our Discord if you’d like to learn more about all of that!

On another note, we’re really excited to be part of this year’s edition! Having watched the previous edition in all its glory, we definitely didn’t want to miss this opportunity. It’s a distilled showcase packed with announcements and no interruptions (no hosts and no ads).

It will go live on April 10th, Noon ET - 6pm CEST - 9am PDT

Working on the demo!

Hello! I’m Raph, co-founder and creative director of Tears of Metal. Here’s some updates on our project.
Hard at work on the Demo + Demo testers needed
We’re currently developing our public demo, which will mark a significant milestone for us! We're targeting a demo release date in December or January.

To ensure the demo is the best it can be, we need enthusiastic testers to provide feedback. If you’re interested in becoming a playtester for the demo (and the game), the best way to stay informed is to join our Discord. We’ll be announcing recruitment there once we're ready.
Summer Game Fest + PAX West
Our reveal at Summer Game Fest exceeded all our expectations! We hit 100,000 wishlists within the first week of our announcement, which has been an incredible morale booster. Thank you so much for your support!
We also had the pleasure of meeting many of you at PAX West at the end of August. This was our first public showcase of the game, and we couldn't be happier with how it went. It was nerve-wracking to see players excited about the trailer and eager to experience the game for the first time. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive!

Our audio team at SIDE Montréal produced a fantastic edit showcasing their work on the trailer:

Lead a Scottish army into battle in this new hack-and-slash roguelike

It's always the way. You're minding your own business in Scotland, living your best life, when a colossal meteor slams down into your island. Typical. In Tears of Metal, a newly announced co-op hack-and-slash roguelike, that's exactly what happens, and to make things worse a colossal army has turned up too. So you'll have to grab your weapons, tool up, and get fighting.

This upcoming co-op roguelike hack-and-slasher looks like Braveheart crossed with Heavy Metal
