Planned Server Maintenance | April 23, 2024

Realmwalkers,

Servers will be taken down on April 23 for maintenance to push update 0.2 at the following approximate time:

9 am EDT / 10 am MDT / noon EDT / 4 pm GMT / 3 am AEDT (+1 day)

This update includes:
  • Queued crafting
  • Craft from storage
  • Simple commands for Recruited NPCs
  • Three new weapons were added and various existing weapon/tool changes
  • Universal dodge
  • Two new Bound types and changes to existing Lanternhead/Bombardier Bound
  • New NPCs, as well as updated and new quests
  • Performance improvements
  • Adjustments to resource, clothing and weapon attributes - now any attribute can be added to any item in crafting
  • The ability to purchase Essence Trader wares from the guidebook after discovering them

Full patch notes will be provided when server maintenance begins.

We’re expecting maintenance to take approximately 1 hour to complete and will provide an update when servers are back online.

Nightingale update 0.2 makes big changes to the divisive survival game

The gorgeous world and delightful gaslamp fantasy designs of Nightingale really caught my eye, but a rocky launch via Steam Early Access has left the survival game with mixed reviews, with Inflexion Games CEO Aaryn Flynn admitting he was "not satisfied" with the launch. The developer has just taken a first big step on the road to recovery, however, with the release of Nightingale update 0.2, which brings a pretty sizable count of upgrades to the table as the team works on offline mode and increased build limits.

Update 0.2: New Developer Update and Crafting Blog

We have a double whammy today! A new Developer Update video AND a blog on crafting.

Firstly, the Developer Update video, which digs into next week’s Update 0.2. Highlights include:

Our server maintenance has concluded and our servers are now back online.

Please update your game to access the Realms once again. It's recommended to restart Steam/Epic or verify your game files to make sure you're on the latest version. The game version will also now appear in the main menu when you start the game.

  • Sun no longer bleeds through clouds around foliage

  • Fixed some instances of creatures spawning under rocks in Desert Realms
  • Players should no longer see quests that cannot be completed due to finishing a conflicting quest branch (example: the pacifist route option will not show if the aggressive route is completed for that quest instance)

  • Forge, Quarry and Alchemist Minor Cards now correctly increase related resource yields as per the Card description
  • Planted Carrots and Delphinium now grow as intended

  • Mini-Vaults can now re-open from inactive portals

  • Using the same material type across multiple slots no longer applies the bonus from that material type multiple times. E.g., Using Iron for a gun's barrel and action does not double the benefit of using iron.
  • Reclaimed ingots and reclaimed lumber now only return the primary characteristic on the item (the one that's in the name)
  • Reclaimed ingots and reclaimed lumber now cost 5 items
  • Reclaimed ingots currently does not work on alloy metals (bronze, brass, steel)
  • Hinges can now be reclaimed

[h3]Player Character[/h3]
  • Removal of 'Death Chests': dying in 0.1.3 will now only cause loss of durability, food buffs and time. This should make death/respawning less frustrating for Realmwalkers.
  • Ranged attacks in third person are more accurate to where the player is aiming

[h3]UI/UX[/h3]
  • When selecting a recipe, it now displays the item’s base stats
  • Driftwood and Deadfall now have the same harvest symbol
