Nightingale - Halloween Event

Greetings, Realmwalkers!

As the shadows stretch long and a chill grips the far corners of the Faewilds, Halloween awakens in the Realms for our latest community event. Mischief, malevolence and, of course, tricks and treats await Realmwalkers who take on the wretched new enemy that awaits in the dark. Watch the teaser below.

Are you ready to tackle Puck’s chilling challenge and face the fearsome new Night Bound for some spooky rewards? Jump into Nightingale from Wednesday 23rd October to participate in the ghoulish festivities.

How do you access the Halloween event? The event will be live from Wednesday 23rd October at 10 am PST/11 am MST/6 pm BST and will run until our next update after Halloween (we'll post a date nearer the time). After the update is live, jump into the Forest Abeyance and you’ll be greeted by Puck with a new quest*. From there you’ll be given instructions on how to battle the Night Bound and earn themed rewards in your Progression tab, including pumpkins, graves, caskets and more.

As the Realms celebrate Samhain and Hallowe'en, you’ll also be able to find festive decorations in The Crossways and the Abeyance Settlement (where Wilhelmina Sasse and Graeme Turner reside). Visit the Settlement to hear about the festivities from Wilhelmina, Graeme, and Taliesin!

*You’ll need to have completed the ‘Tools of the Trade’ quest to start the new questline
Here’s a full list of quests and rewards:
Autumnal Reveler - Kill 25 Autumnal Bound - Unlocks Jack-o’-Lantern
Bountiful Merrymaker - Kill 150 Autumnal Bound - Unlocks Perched Jack-o’-Lanterns + Stacked Jack-o’-Lanterns
Gourd Harvester - Kill 250 Autumnal Bound - Unlocks Harvest Display
Hallowed Hunter - Kill 500 Autumnal Bound - Unlocks Sunflower Display + Pumpkin Bunch
Patron of Mischief - Kill 750 Autumnal Bound - Unlocks Gravestone Cluster + Casket
Samhain’s Guardian - Kill 1000 Autumnal Bound - Unlocks Jack-o’-Lantern Helmet

As the Bound eyes watch with flickering flames from the shadows, and the rattle of bones echoes in the distance, we wish you good luck and fortune in your quest to rid the Realms of these haunted spirits.

Until next time, fare thee well traveler.

Victorian survival game Nightingale is about to get a major building upgrade

The future looks bright for Nightingale. It's never nice to see a game face a troubled launch, especially one as spectacular to look at as Inflexion Games' Victorian gaslamp fantasy world. Fortunately, the survival game has seen a gradual and continued recovery from its rocky start with the dramatic Realms Rebuilt overhaul, and it looks to have paid off. Now, it's focused on the future, and that starts with one big upgrade to base building as the developer returns to working on a larger city environment that reaches back to its original MMORPG roots.
