[p][/p][p]We're rolling out an update for Mafia: The Old Country that addresses a wide range of reported issues and improves stability on all platforms. We appreciate your patience as we make these refinements, and we want to thank everyone who has given feedback and helped make the experience better for all players.[/p][p]

Gameplay

[p]Addressed various instances of companion characters like Luca, Cesare, and others not performing required actions, resulting in blocked progress. If you encounter this issue, reloading your last checkpoint should resolve it.[/p]
[p]Performing a takedown on a specific guard is no longer a requirement to complete the objective in the Customs Warehouse in Chapter 3 if the player is able to avoid it.[/p]
[p]Addressed reported instances of invisible collisions present in unwanted locations.[/p]
[p]Addressed reported instances of missing or misplaced combat covers.[/p]
[p]General improvements to Enemy AI reaction timing, pathing, and behavior.[/p]
[p]General improvements to Friendly and Neutral NPC pathing, animation, and behavior.[/p]

[p]Set the default value for Cinematic Framerate to Unlimited instead of 30FPS for new players. If you have already played the game, you should change this setting manually via the Graphics menu.[/p]

Best Mafia The Old Country settings for PC and Steam Deck

If you want to find the best Mafia The Old Country settings for either PC or Steam Deck, you'll have to push through a frustrating cutscene issue that will hopefully be fixed in future game updates. Thankfully, while this issue is persistent, it doesn't hugely impact the general gameplay experience, and when Mafia The Old Country is ramped up to its highest graphical settings, the game looks truly stunning.

You can check out the Mafia The Old Country system requirements to make sure your gaming PC is up to the task of running this action-adventure prequel. You won't need the best graphics card from our buying guide to run the game, but if you're aiming for a high frame rate at 4K, you won't get far in Mafia The Old Country without some serious horsepower.

Free Ride mode coming to Mafia: The Old Country as a free update

We're truly humbled by all the support and dedication that defines the Mafia fandom; you are the reason we get to craft these gritty crime dramas, and we're eternally grateful.[/p][p][/p][p]Now that the game is finally in your hands, we're excited to confirm that Free Ride mode will be coming to Mafia: The Old Country via a free update for all players in the coming months, which will add new activities and gameplay content. We'll have more details to share at a later date.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]In the meantime, even after you've experienced Enzo's descent into the criminal underworld of 1900s Sicily, there's already plenty of reason to revisit the the Valle Dorata, whether it's to hunt down hidden collectibles in Explore mode or replay the story with the full Sicilian voiceover. Whichever you do, you'll still have every outfit, collectible, car, Charm, and other unlock earned during your first playthrough.[/p][p]
