The island has changed forever! Weather now plays a crucial role in survival, dynamically shaping the world and affecting every aspect of gameplay. The new weather system doesn’t just add realism - it forces to think ahead, adapt, and truly engage with the environment. Every storm, every gust of wind, and every drop of rain can impact your survival.
[h3]Survival Just Got Tougher:[/h3]
- Fire-making and firearms are now impacted by wet conditions. Stay dry or risk losing essential tools.
- Water collection is now easier, making rainfall a valuable resource.
- Rain and wind affect visibility, movement, and planning. Watch the sky to anticipate the coming weather!
- Lightning is both a beauty and a threat - it can set objects ablaze and even injure you.
[h3]New Wildlife & Survival Features:[/h3]
- The Wild Storm – A brutal survival event that will test your limits.
- Warthogs – Aggressive and territorial, these creatures attack without warning. A dangerous but rewarding food source!
- Critters – Small lizards and frogs can now be caught by hand, with weapons, or even by throwing rocks. Eat them raw or cook them for a quick meal.
- Roof Construction – A new shelter-building option with palm leaves to protect against rain and wind, ensuring better survival conditions.
[h3]More Enhancements:[/h3]
- Extended the length of a day and reduced the number of survival days required to unlock items.
- 14 new original music tracks, tons of new sound effects, and new voiceover lines to heighten immersion.
- Further optimized performance, including DLSS 3.8 support for a smoother experience.

🤓 Please note: When continuing the game with an existing save, new animals and items do not spawn, as they weren’t part of the original seed when your game was generated. We also teleported you back to the starting beach, as we made some changes to the map and we do not want you to get stuck in the rocks.
However, all new systems and content should function as intended. Happy surviving! 🌴

[h2]🚨Major Update 3: Patch Notes! SPOILER ALERT!🚨[/h2]
[h3]Dynamic Weather System[/h3]
- Added a fully dynamic weather system that also plays a role in the story.
- Added rain to the game.
- Added wind to the game.
- Added lightning to the game.
- Added fog to the game.
- Remade the sky and cloud system for better realism.
- Added wind support to the foliage.
- Added wind support to shipwreck sails.
- Added wetness support to the world.
- Refined how wetness works with objects, especially regarding fire. For example, you can now pour water on a torch to put it out.
- Players' hands now get wet and dry based on environmental conditions.
[h3]New Creatures and Improved Interactions[/h3]
- Added new beast to the game - Warthog. These can appear at night but also roam the island during the day.
- Added new critter to the game: the Frog
- Added new critter to the game: the Desert Spiny Lizard
- Refined the critter system in the game, so that you can even grab a crab alive, should you choose to do so.
- Improved animal behaviour near caves.
[h3]Story Progression[/h3]
- Added a Chapter system, introducing two story chapters with specific start and end conditions. This lays the groundwork for future story expansions.
[h3]Building & Crafting[/h3]
- Added new blueprint to the game - Roof, which provides shelter from rain and other dangers, but needs to be unlocked first.
- Added a new building material: Palm leaves, available after specific conditions have been met.
[h3]Survival & Exploration Adjustments[/h3]
- Extended the length of a day for better pacing.
- Reduced the number of survival days required to unlock items.
- Filled up semi-caves on the starting beach, as these were very hard to use with rain. We know these were popular camping sites, sorry!
- Implemented a new ocean currents system for added realism and challenge.
- Improved night logic.
- Adjusted gameplay balance regarding some values.
[h3]Sound & Music[/h3]
- Added a huge amount of new sound effects to the game.
- Added new voiceover lines to the game.
- Implemented 14 new original music tracks.
[h3]Bug Fixes & Performance[/h3]
- Fixed an issue where Boots didn’t apply correctly when starting a new game.
- Improved the in-game menu usability while underwater.
- Added DLSS 3.8 support for improved performance and visual quality.
- Fixed a number of bugs.
- Fixed some issues with the level.
- Further optimized performance for smoother gameplay.
