Update on October 10 ：New Relic is coming!
Hi everyone, Yi Xian will be updated at 14:00 on October 10th (GMT+8). Please pay attention in time to avoid affecting the game.
1. The new relic “Mirror of Stars” will be available.
· Stars Refresh: Each round randomly refreshes 3 sect cards, which can be locked to prevent refreshing.
· Swap Star: Swap 1 hand card with 1 card from the Mirror of Stars. Each round can only be used once.
Each card in the Mirror of Stars can be locked individually to prevent it from refreshing. You can also lock a card you’ve placed in the mirror to save it.
Additionally, the Mirror of Stars contains 8 exclusive fusion cards (2 for each sect), which can only be obtained through fusion formulas when using the Mirror of Stars.
2.After the release of the second relic in this update, each game will begin with a vote, and based on the voting weights, a random relic will be selected for all players in that match. The more votes a relic receives, the higher its chance of being chosen.
3.Balance adjustments:
(1) Mind-Body Resonance (Ji Fangsheng, Foundation Phase)
Before adjustment: Whenever you gain 1 Physique in battle, you gain 1 DEF. Add 1 Physique after each battle (not exceeding the cap).
After adjustment: Whenever you gain 1 Physique in battle, you gain 1 DEF.
After this adjustment, Ji Fangsheng will rely more on players’ flexible use of lower-phase cards to get through the early stages, then unleash full power in the mid-to-late game.
Ji Fangsheng is set to have deep and immeasurable cultivation and power. During design, we made him the fastest to break through to the incarnation phase to reflect his profound cultivation. Additionally, we gave him powerful mid-to-late game exclusive moves to showcase his unpredictable strength. However, for balance, we made it so that Ji Fangsheng can only increase his physique cap by winning battles. During internal testing, opinions on his power were polarized — some thought he was too strong, while others felt he was too weak.
In the first week after release, Ji Fangsheng ranked the lowest in both average rank and win rate, mainly due to a lack of deck and his less reliable physique cultivation compared to other characters. We strengthened Mind-Body Resonance at the time to stabilize his cultivation. With subsequent environmental changes and continuous development of Ji Fangsheng’s deck by high-level players, his average rank and win rate gradually improved, reaching above average in the 3000+ matchers, and ranking at the highest level in the top 1% of matches.
We want to keep Ji Fangsheng’s unique deck while balancing him, so after multiple considerations and comparisons, we decided to first roll back the Mind-Body Resonance enhancement while leaving his exclusive moves unchanged for now.
We will continue to monitor Ji Fangsheng’s performance and make further adjustments if necessary.
(2) Birdie Wind (Tan Shuyan, Virtuoso Phase)
Before adjustment: Add 1 DEF for each time your HP changes.
After adjustment: Randomly gain 1 card that adds HP; add 1 DEF each time your HP changes.
Cards that add HP in the Virtuoso phase and below include: Incessant, Mountain Hexagram, Stillness Citta-Dharma, Imposing, Yin Yang Formation, Qi Therapy, Hunter Becomes Preyer.
Tan Shuyan needs to carefully plan card upgrade in the early stages to trigger Study Hard and ensure timely breakthroughs. Therefore, more players tend to choose draw or cultivation-related immortal fates in the Virtuoso phase to supplement cultivation, preserving more cards for breakthroughs.
Even when playing healing-based decks, Birdie Wind was often chosen only when no cultivation-boosting immortal fates were available. This adjustment aims to make healing decks more inclined to choose Birdie Wind, while providing a stable choice for Virtuoso phase across other decks.
Early combos like “Musician-Tan Shuyan” and “Painter-Tan Shuyan” were criticized by many players for negatively impacting player experience and game duration, leading to gradual weakening of these mechanics. After healing decks fell out of favor, Birdie Wind has consistently been the least chosen ability for Tan Shuyan.
We are aware that if healing decks become too dominant, they could recreate past negative experiences, so we have been cautious with Birdie Wind. This season’s fusion card, Traces Revitalized, aims to make healing decks more offensive rather than dragging out time, while giving them a strong counter-attack capability. In our internal testing, Tan Shuyan’s deck paired with the Fortune Teller had a high win rate in the late game.
However, based on the actual post-release performance, transition instability remains an issue, exacerbated by the Furnace of Void’s relic mechanics. This adjustment attempts to enhance Tan Shuyan’s transitional abilities, and we will continue to monitor the ladder performance of healing decks.
4.New achievements and Honorific Title have been added for reaching 3500/4500/6000 Dao Mindset points with Random Characters.
5.Chapter 5 of The Heavenly Path Restoration will be available.
