11-17 update announcement
Future updates, and the Faction Bounties, Addressing frequently mentioned issues
Hello, dear adventurers! We are expecting an update later today to address the Blacksmith Wang Dachui disappearance and some known bugs. Also, issues like getting stuck in the martial arts arena have been fixed in yesterday's patch. Players experiencing these problems can try again after updating the game.
Given that the game has just been released, there may be some issues. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to join our official Discord to provide feedback. We will promptly address the feedback we receive. Thank you all for your understanding.
Today's update primarily involves adjustments to the widely discussed Homestead system, providing an opportunity to discuss the changes in Homestead's burden reduction.
The original intention of Homestead design was to offer a space in the vast Jianghu that belongs to each player. With this in mind, we implemented a multipath shared inheritance mechanic, and the attribute benefits were quite generous. The goal was to provide a sense of growth that transcends playthroughs. Although we simplified the process of upgrading your Homestead, the process still made players feel like it was "slowing down my path to dominance in the martial world."

In this update, we've optimized the Homestead system by introducing a new mechanic that allows continuous harvesting of materials in the back mountains, and adding more sources for obtaining Homestead materials. This aims to free players from the heavy construction work.
Future plans: Still moving forward, no time to rest.
During this release period, we will maintain a high frequency of updates, addressing newly discovered issues, and polishing existing systems and gameplay. As mentioned in previous posts, the V1.0 version is not the goal for Hero’s Adventure. Content that wasn’t added in the current version, such as the sects in the southwest region, Wanshou Villa, Miao Yin Square, companion NPC story completion, and the unlit desert area on the map, will be released as major updates, similar to the major updates we did during the Early Access period.

As for some of the assets that were discovered through unpacking and cheats, many of them are from the early stages of development. Whether to abandon or utilize them has not been decided. We hope everyone can view this rationally, and we believe that we will soon be able to announce these plans. For now, our focus remains on perfecting and fixing the existing version. Rest assured, we are still the proactive and responsive Half Amateur Studio.
Regarding plot and character script issues: As mentioned in your feedback, the framework is well-structured, but the actual conveyance of words has not met expectations. We understand the charm of martial arts games better than anyone. Currently, the plot work is supported by a game designer due to a lack of suitable candidates. Facing the ever-expanding events and character plots is indeed a bit too strenuous. This has been a source of concern for the project team for a long time. We had considered collaborating with player-authors, but coordinating with their schedules proved challenging for our high-frequency development work.
We will continue to seek solutions. Here, we openly share our thoughts. If anyone is interested or has ideas and suggestions, feel free to join the official Discord and let us know.

Additionally, we've compiled some frequently asked questions (FAQs) to address issues raised by many players.
Q: I'm a new player who joined the guidance of "Yan Gexing." Can I switch to another school later?
A: Poisoning and killing are both considered automatic quitting. After today's update, we've also added a more direct way to leave. When the Yan Gexing event reaches the stage of returning to the Nameless Village, players can choose to leave the Yan Gexing sect.
Although Master Yan warned everyone during the initiation that he has a quirky temperament and won't tolerate disciples leaving, there's always a workaround. Imagine if the master is gone, can the sect still exist?
Q: How do I unlock the homestead?
A: Once your reputation reaches "Rising Star" (level 4), you will receive a pigeon letter from the Wind Whisper Tower, informing you that due to your growing reputation, you have become a distinguished guest of the Glittering Artifact House in Daliang City. By assisting the host in resolving a series of events, you will receive the host's unreclaimed manor as a gift, unlocking the homestead gameplay.
Of course, in old saves where the host has been killed, the event cannot be triggered. We recommend players who have killed the host to start a new playthrough to trigger the event.
Q: What happened to the faction's bounty mission board? Where can I now do daily tasks?
A: Patrol missions can be obtained at the faction leader's location, and evil-extermination missions can be obtained at the faction's partner's location.
Some returning players find it a bit unfamiliar with the changes to faction missions. In fact, back in the Shifa Temple & Confucius Temple introduction phase, we already revamped the faction missions. The previous setup of issuing faction tasks through bulletin boards was limited in quantity and format. Currently, we've shifted the distribution of faction tasks to faction NPCs, removing the daily acceptance limit and eliminating the hassle of multiple deliveries. We'll promptly update and fix any unprocessed mission guides to prevent misleading new players.
