Tools of Choice - The Keys

The quaint village where all this takes place was either built by a very paranoid architect or has been updated after the fact to have looming locked gates between each district. Lucky for our mischievous Possum, by simply eating their fill of the food scattered across the village, they are rewarded with a key that helps open up a path that would otherwise be unavailable.

While it might require some clever scouring for treats, trying to keep an eye on your key meter as you run around is highly recommended to ensure you have the means to unlock a gate you encounter. Since you can’t stack your keys, being aware of how close you are to unlocking the next one can mean all the difference. You never know when a quick dash into a new district might be all it takes to get rid of a particularly insistent guard.

The Cookbook of the Traumatized Neighbor - Grilled Fish

For villages blessed with a bustling coastline, it’s borderline a crime not to have at least one fish dish that is considered a local favourite. In this case, it has simply been dubbed Grilled Fish, and is a staple in most households. It is as easy to cook as it looks, with a shockingly few number of ingredients involved:

  • 1 whole fish of your choice, gutted, scaled and trimmed
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 spigs of fresh thyme
  • 4 spigs of fresh rosemary
  • Lemon slices
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

As for cooking steps, all you need is a good grill or oven, prep it before hand while you clean the fish. After scorring the whole fish, you simply add the lemon, rosemary and thyme into each cavity, season with salt and pepper and then grill on each side for about 7 minutes until done. And there you have it! The village Grilled Fish that is supposed to be enjoyed by the neighbors and NOT the Possum.

Pizza Possum Shows off Local Co-op

That’s right, we finally introduced Player 2 to the world - the Raccoon. Why devour all the food on your own when you can join forces with a friend and wreak mischievous chaos in the unsuspecting village? Scamper around with your buddy in local co-op and climb your collective high score together, eating all the food you can get your thieving little hands on. You can even help each other if one of you gets caught, since the other player can run up to the guard in question and bonk them on the head, releasing their captive. Just don’t both get caught or it’ll be game over and back to the previous checkpoint for both of you.

A Tour of the Village - The Harbour

While some might be put off by the smell of a harbour, the Possum loves it! This bustling village coastline is covered in piers, docked boats, and crates brimming with all kinds of fish, making it the perfect pit stop for a hungry trash dweller. The sparkling hues of the waters surrounding it are also worth a pause, even for the Possum’s busy eating schedule.

While the area does have its fair share of guards and neighbors milling about, the snacks and meals found in this nook of the village is worth the detour. Especially if you enjoy fish.
